Alan C. Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Hugo Chávez daughter is the richest individual in Venezuela, report claims On more than one occasion the late Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez declared that being rich is bad, often adding “Rich people attack me for saying that, but I claim it is bad.”His favorite daughter, however, may disagree. According to the Miami-based Diario Las América, Venezuelan media sources will soon publish materials showing that María Gabriela Chávez has bank accounts in the U.S. and Andorra with assets totaling nearly $4.2 billion. If the claim is true, Chávez’s daughter would be the richest person in Venezuela, a country with industrialists like telecommunications magnate Gustavo Cisneros (worth $3.6 billion, according to Forbes) and food and beverage mogul Lorenzo Mendoza ($2.7 billion). Those figures stand in stark contrast to the overall state of the Venezuelan economy, which has been plagued by the collapse of oil prices, spiraling inflation rates caused by untenable fiscal policies and massive shortages of the most basic commodities, such as food, diapers and beauty products. . . . Last July, Venezuelan outlets reported that she was involved in a scheme that favored an Argentinean rice company, Bioart, by importing 37,000 tons of greatly overpriced rice to Venezuela – a deal that reportedly contributed $15 million to her personal accounts. Hugo Chavez worth over $1B when he died Some estimate over $2B
AnarchoNEET Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Just more proof that socialism/communism has never actually been tried. When will silly capitalists learn that all those dictatorships were just the bourgeoisie claiming to be socialists to manipulate the working class?
Alan C. Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 Socialists aren't known for an abundance of brains so it makes sense that they'd be so easily manipulated. Those dumb socialists have to queue up in lines all night to buy groceries. If only they weren't so dumb then they'd have plenty to eat and plenty of toilet paper like we have under state-capitalism.

Not only the socialists need to line up and wipe their asses with bolivares instead of toilet paper, Alan. Also the massive number of people who actually voted for the almost officially winning (and probably was winning, but the socialists rigged the election) political opponent Capriles (son of a successful businessman) of bus driver (no kidding!) president Maduro... Like I said in the other Venezuela topic, I have many Venezuelan friends and I feel truly sorry for the state of the country. I even almost got into a physical fight with a chavista one day. I had to call my friends to hold me back from him, as he caused an outrage in me.
Djoop Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Well, she deserves it. Her father had the best tv show ever.
