Alan C. Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Fifteen thousand U.S. government workers - including White House staff - among 37 million cheating spouses identified in hack of Ashley Madison adultery site 15,000 users registered under .gov and .mil email addresses - the official domain names of the American military and government. Other institutions rocked by the leaks include famed educational institutions like Havard and Yale, and global bodies such as the Vatican and the UN.
Jer Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Worth noting that the company didn't verify email addresses so the person who registered the email didn't necessarily control it. It does seem conclusive that Josh Duggar was a customer as they have credit cards billing to his home addresses. Is it bad that I like seeing him exposed as a scumbag again?
Snafui Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 So you have the ability to hack into this database just to show that people cheat--how novel. Now the state will have an excuse to crack down on the internet some more... for "our safety" of course. I think I smell a rat. Can't wait to see how quickly the new bill will be presented--and how thick it will be.
Jer Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Why anybody would ever voluntarily add their name CC and GPS coordinates to the "people who cheat" database is beyond my understanding.
shirgall Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 And now people are getting fooled by the "check to see if emails are on the list" sites...
Magnetic Synthesizer Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Why anybody would ever voluntarily add their name CC and GPS coordinates to the "people who cheat" database is beyond my understanding. The reasoning is that delcaring now is better than waiting for the inevitable reveal.
Jer Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 The reasoning is that delcaring now is better than waiting for the inevitable reveal. Declaring what? What inevitable reveal? I meant that signing up for an account on AM is effectively putting your name in the "people who cheat" database. Also, many of those customers went above the minimum requirements and volunteered their GPS tracking info.

Alan C. Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 The media seems concerned only with Josh Duggar.
