Greyy Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 For over the year or so I've been listening to Freedomain Radio it has proven... difficult to share it's content (Hmm, I wonder why ). Sadly I found that expressing it's arguments or opinions can have repercussions; alienating a friend, damaging relationships etc. I knew that this is probably doing me a favour - revealing how (un)reasonable these people truly were, however I couldn't help but wonder, what if I'm going about it all wrong? I decided to take a step back from the social media activism and simply start having conversations with people. From listening to a friend complaining about student loans and turning it into a debate about government, to recommending RTR to a friend who studies Communication Skills or even going so far as to gently tip-toe the topic of peaceful parenting into a conversation with my pregnant Aunt. I kept up with this style of sharing for a while and BOOM! all of a sudden it seems all my friends are questioning their worldview . Only something the delicate art of conversation could handle, rather than the clumsy destruction of a "share" button. To this day, the friend I recommended RTR to has read On Truth and is planning to read UPB I'd love to hear where the community has found success spreading truth. Specific stories, what works or even what doesn't, all help is welcome! 2
