VolT Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Hello! I hope you are all well. I am interested in having conversations with people to find out what their core skills are, and if they have any ideas for business opportunities. I would like to introduce myself, share a few of my own ideas, and what my plans are. I would also like to determine what you are capable of, how you feel about starting a business or being involved in one, and If you have any ideas that you would like to pursue, how I may help in your pursuits. In summary I have four goals: 1) to have a network of people who I can call upon based on their skills. 2) to determine if I may be of assistance to individuals who already do have a set plan. 3) to share and refine business ideas/opportunities that may lead to a business. 4) Get to know people that I may work with. I would like to have this conversation on a 1 on 1 basis over Skype or Google chat, and below I will give more information about myself for you to determine if you do wish to have a conversation. I have publicly available information about who I am and what I do, so please check out my LinkedIn profile, and my CV. LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/volkan-tas/71/370/798 CV: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kkm2b2gnnpve069/CV4.pdf?dl=0 I have prototyped digital hardware, firmware, PC software, and web applications. At this point I have the confidence in myself to learn what I need to know to fulfill all functional requirements for a project. I am comfortable/capable investing the next year of my life to focus towards a business, which unifies a technical solution, and has the potential for financial return. Right now my immediate needs are: 1) A business mentor 2) People who have the capacity to start a business outside of the USA 3) People with a strong physics background 4) Mechanical Engineers 5) Individuals who are artistically inclined. I would still like to hear from you even if your skills are not on this list! If you are interested please private message me your Skype ID or your email to Google chat with. I will add you on Skype/g chat, and we will determine a schedule to have our conversation. Then we will simply talk and exchange of our ideas/thoughts. If you require more information please let me know here. I will do my best to answer it. If we can generate something valuable, great! Otherwise we will at least have given each other something to think about. If you are reading this even a year after its post date, and are interested, still PM me! 1
Diki Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Great post and great idea. I don't know whether I'd be of any use to you, but feel free to hit me up if you think I could be. I am a business owner in Japan. I'm from the UK originally so I have experience setting up a business in a foreign country. My company is a private English learning centre catering to students of all ages from babies to retirees. It's a small business, I employ 2 foreign teachers (excluding myself) and 2 Japanese staff. I have built the business from the ground up and we now have over 250 students per week. We are set to celebrate our 8th anniversary in December. 1
