So, the federal government ran a deficit of $438,899,000,000 for the fiscal year.According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, total seasonally adjusted employment in the United States in September (including both full and part-time workers) was 148,800,000...In 2012, President Barack Obama struck a deal with Republicans in Congress to enact legislation that increased taxes. That included increasing the top income tax rate from 35 percent to 39.6 percent, increasing the top tax rate on dividends and capital gains from 15 percent to 20 percent, and phasing out personal exemptions and deductions starting at an annual income level of $250,000.An additional 3.8 percent tax on dividends, interest, capital gains and royalties--that was embedded in the Obamacare law--also took effect in 2013. The parasite class does less with more, while the private sector is forced to do more with less. State and local taxes total approximately $1.5T for a combined total of around $4.7T.

In 2014, 3,415 renounced their citizenship, the highest total ever. But 2015 appears to be on track to see 5,000... link If you're wealthy, you have to pay an 'exit tax.' You also have to pay a 'fee' of more than $2,000. It used to be only $450. 2

There was no fee until 2011 or so. Also be aware that you're not paying an exit fee, you're paying a fee to be allowed to file the paperwork and have your request considered. They're under no obligation to grant you the exit just because you paid them what they said. Also, if you say that you want to renounce your citizenship because taxes are too high, they will automatically reject your request to renounce it. So better start thinking of something else that they will believe and accept.
