RCali Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Sounds like something heavy metal bands would use.
luxfelix Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 The resurgence of religion/superstition/state-worship? (Reference to carpe diem poetry as well = call to action?) The iambic stanzas are somewhat schizophrenic, perhaps asserting the conflict of mindsets in the world today?
Lars Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 The resurgence of religion/superstition/state-worship? (Reference to carpe diem poetry as well = call to action?) The iambic stanzas are somewhat schizophrenic, perhaps asserting the conflict of mindsets in the world today? All relevant points. I like the way you described the structure, "schizophrenic". OK, now to clarify. The Demon represents an internal struggle with male sexuality. At least that's what I had in mind while writing.
