cager Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 On a recent podcast, Stefan read a fantastic poem, but I can't remember the title or who wrote it. Does anyone know the one I'm talking about? I think it was about living life to the fullest or something along those lines.

Mister Mister Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I was listening to that podcast, and I remember getting incredibly emotional when he was reading that poem, almost to the point of tears. I don't entirely know why. I did have to memorize that poem in 8th grade, but haven't thought that much about it since. great poem though
Ed888 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I remember when I heard that poem I stopped what I was doing and replayed the bit of the podcast 3 times trying to write a memo spelling the guy's name. I never heard a big lot of poetry but this one was absolutely fantastic. Only other one I remember that I thought was great was that "Don't quit" one.
BD91 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I've been reading a book called "Hannibal and Me" and it talks a lot about the message of this poem, specifically this line: If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; Which podcast was this? Link to the book for anyone interested: http://www.amazon.com/Hannibal-Me-Historys-Greatest-Strategist/dp/159448659X 1
Dermot Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Thanks Crallask. This poem resonated with me too. So much crap in school if only i could have been shown this level of poetry. I have it now though!
cager Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Awesome! Thank you Crallask, that was driving me nuts.
Troubador Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 There is a lot of sound philosophy in certain poetry.
