zmanx
The recent events in Paris and growing instability of the world has made me turn inwards into what I am doing with my life. I could say I'm very lucky to live a comfortable life here in Orlando FL. I work for a big corporation creating software for hospitals, and I make video games & virtual reality prototypes on the side. I've worked very hard on my craft, and even though I'm not the best in the industry I enjoy what I do. But I'm starting to feel that what I do does not make the kind of impact I want to make in the world, while I do enjoy my career and hobbies; I know I have the potential to do more. I'm not really changing the lives of others at a level I'd like to. Anyone here has any advice for me I would greatly appreciate it. I've considered entrepreneurship, and my dream would be to create VR\AR applications for people. But I just don't know if this is rewarding anymore. I want to contribute in moving society forward... how can I do this with my current skills? or maybe something completely different?

Matthew Ed Moran
I don't know what you mean. I was suggesting you have as many kids as possible as one way to create an impact on the future. There is a post where other skilled members are brainstorming about possible ventures, I think it is called "Where are all the successful FDR members?" but for some reason I can't find it. If I do I'll edit the link into my post. Also, what about crypto-currencies? They have the possibility to severely limit state power and virtually end war if they were to replace fiat currency. Stef has many vids making the case for their importance, check them out if you're interested. https://board.freedomainradio.com/topic/45456-where-are-all-the-successfull-fdr-listeners/
Donnadogsoth
Join the Kurds and fight ISIS! I've read of a few Westerners doing this. It's certainly a positive thing to kill as many terrorists as possible, and everyone who matters will love you for it.

With regards to kids, I'm very excited to have them soon and put my 110% effort. Economically I wouldn't be able to sustain more than 2 just yet.. I have thought about adopting in my later stages of life. Crypto-currency is something I've been very interested in but frankly I need to review the concept a bit more because I was confused by some of it and not sure about their stability. That really is a very direct approach to my concerns but I have always been a pacifist and frankly I wouldn't like to leave my family & girlfriend behind. I guess it is sort of selfish because I want to do something about it but are not willing to go and fight myself Start with the people around you. Thanks luxfelix, I will start with that.
