regevdl Posted December 14, 2015 Share Posted December 14, 2015 Hello, I am on the hunt for some good critical thinking-for kids sources. Websites, books, whatever you have. My kids are 6 and 8 and I do some of my own but sort of running out of ideas that they can grow into. I recently saw a video (unrelated to this) but a woman suggested a book for kids called I Wonder or Eye Wonder but didn't reference the author, so if anyone has more details on this book, please post. Also, referenced was Camp Quest. I found only websites for an actual camp retreat for kids but I do not live in the US, so I guess that isn't relative unless there is another Camp Quest (like a general website, etc) Thanks FDR community! Matthew Ed Moran Posted December 15, 2015 Share Posted December 15, 2015 Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt is really good about explaining the principles of economics, I think it contains some really broad lessons that no intelligent person should ignore. k.lode Posted January 10, 2016 Share Posted January 10, 2016 The Scribner's juveniles written by Robert A. Heinlein were--and still are--some of my favorites. While not exactly educational, they encouraged my curiosity about space and science when I was a kid. My only wish is that I had been given my first Heinlein earlier than 11.
