Stan Hunter Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 A handful of friends and family work in mental health professions. They're almost unanimous in the idea that the public mental hospitals in the United States were better than what we have now. (Private care and homelessness AFAIK) Are there examples of private mental health care in the real world? Are there theories on how this can work in a libertarian society? I was not able to find anything but criticisms and research that tries to justify tax-propped systems.
AncapFTW Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 How does any charity work in an anarchist society? Also, if they commit a crime because of their mental illness, it will probably be a part of rehab.
dsayers Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 One thing to consider is the various ways in which the State exacerbates the prevalence of mental illness.
