KarlJay Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 At first I saw that people might try for the results that they wanted. In other words, it could be like questions about how often do you workout and eat well. Some might answer with what they should do or wish they did, instead of what they actually do. In other words, it's kinda like the "most Americans think they are above average" problem. However, I took the test several times and did further research. I was thrown off by part of the answer, but spot on with other parts. I ended up with the "INTP" which is spot on, except the entrepreneur part. From what I understand, an INTP wouldn't be very much of a entrepreneur, yet I am. The introverted logical thinker was spot on. Not wanted to be among groups of people, etc... What was great is that I can dismiss the "you need to come out of your bubble" mindset. Point: not everyone is the same, you aren't abnormal because you don't love to be the life of the party. Most people have the "you should be like me" problem, instead of seeing that there are many different types of people. I thought it was like a horoscope or a "reader" that gives very general things, I watched a number of videos and found that I was very much as described. It's VERY refreshing to not think you need to change to become the popular life of the party type. We need all types of people.

As someone who likes to keep to herself a lot, I can totally relate, and I couldn't have said it better. I've been told most of my life how being a loner was somehow harmful to me, as if they know what's best for me better than I do. It's so annoying, rude, and condescending. Yes, it is refreshing to see that choosing to be alone most of the time isn't something that should be cured. More introverts/loners need to hear this.
Ninja Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I've done this test in the past as part of an interview process for a yoga studio(smh) and it resulted in a different type than this time around, though, I think the two types would get along with each other :). the type I got last April was ESTJ-A: Extroverted 71% Observant 56% Thinking 58% Judging. 82% Assertive. 87% the type I got this morning was ENTP-A Extroverted. 63% Intuitive 64% Thinking 71% Prospecting 56% Assertive 51% I almost prefer the former but I'm aware that my answers at that time were influenced by who I choose to be in 'the workplace'. My answers this morning were based more on my current state of mind rather than where I would consciously place myself in a role where I am bound by responsibility.

Spladam Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 INTJ-A. Also, it was interesting to read the charts which were linked to earlier on in the thread. Does the personality cause the society to be a certain way or does the society cause the personalities to be a certain way? I would say that the natural environment causes genetic and personality changes to occur, Genetic changes also compound the personality changes and the personalities cause the society to be a certain way. Challenge me on that.
Siegfried von Walheim Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 ENTP-A Quite different from when I took it two years ago, which I think was ESTJ-T, basically I was a lot more anxious and less confident and inclined to improvise. Now I got "The Debator". Perhaps I am becoming closer to the Great Stefpai? I suppose this makes some sense as I had also pracitcally changed the way I thought and what I desired since then too. For example two years ago I was a Communist and a not-so-closet power-seeker and warmonger. Now I'm an Anarcho-Capitalist/Monarchist/Nationalist/Christian/(do I even have a one word label for myself?) and desire to build a family and become a true man possessed of both integrity and accomplishment as well as the leisure to indulge in my favorite hobbies. Practically I went from future-Democratic-politician-and-fascist to novelist/wannabe-patriarch. ==== MIND This trait determines how we interact with our environment. 67% EXTRAVERTED 33% INTROVERTED ENERGY This trait shows where we direct our mental energy. 55% INTUITIVE 45% OBSERVANT NATURE This trait determines how we make decisions and cope with emotions. 69% THINKING 31% FEELING TACTICS This trait reflects our approach to work, planning and decision-making. 49% JUDGING 51% PROSPECTING IDENTITY This trait underpins all others, showing how confident we are in our abilities and decisions. 53% ASSERTIVE 47% TURBULENT ============ Yo @Mishi2! Take it too and share!

Thanks for the link. I found a lot of value in the Jordan B Peterson Personality test. Have look. You get one chance so, use it wisely. Its pretty cheap too.
