Donnadogsoth Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 This was the sentiment seen in a recent commercial or public service message in Canada. I only caught it out of the corner of my eye and didn't notice whose brand it was. I did notice that it clearly told audiences that lacking diversity or multiculturalism equals being culturally "silent" and effete. Yes, 28,000 years of European cultural heritage is "silent," and needs steady infusions of non-European cultural heritage in order to be of value. Yes, 1.3 billion white people are "silent" and need to mix with non-whites to be of value. Yes, Christianity is "silent" and needs non-Christian influences in order to be of value. 1
Zoey141 Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Couldn't agree more! The sooner we learn to celebrate our differences the better it will be for all of us.
Culturist John Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Yes. Multiculturalism denies the existence of western culture. It portrays us as a neutral space where various cultures meet. We must replace multiculturalism, with its opposite - culturism. More at www.culturism.us.
EclecticIdealist Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 My response to that commercial... not an argument. When you can't think of an intelligent response, simply respond... not an argument.
