Tyler H Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 The season 20 premier was last night and they tackled a slew of issues from BLM to PC SJWs to Colin Kaepernick, and of course the election. If you haven't seen the 19th season I would highly recommend it because its been one long PC beatdown and the 20th picks right up where it left off. I would be interested in a review from the Stef that really dissects the satire and why people may be ready to be awoken if they are receptive to this particular kind of comedy. http://southpark.cc.com/full-episodes 5
RamynKing Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Great reason to catch up. I had become leery of these guys lately because of this video: I was really taken aback at this whole criticizing of "Neoliberalism." It sounded like a fancy word designed to marginalize free-market people aka free-people. 1
EclecticIdealist Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I never realized it was possible for any show to continue getting better with time. 1

Yeah, I only watched 6 minutes of that video; I think you're right about this YouTuber, but I think he's wrong about the show. Also it seems like neoliberal is a new word for classical liberal but this is the first I've heard of it so I don't know. Matt and Trey are libertarian as ever and to me the season cleverly shits all over PC and liberal hypocrisy. Season 19 for me was one of the best ever. I only thought there were 1 or 2 weak episodes that are still worth watching for a hilarious song and a few decent jokes. The rest were stellar.

I never realized it was possible for any show to continue getting better with time. Yeah I thought there was a weak spot around seasons 15, 16, 17... but 18 was really good and 19 just hit it out of the park and at the rate they're going I have high expectations for this season as well. I like to see that these ideas can resonate so well, we here so much about liberal agendas and PC culture that it's refreshing to see how many people think that shit's irrelevant. I think we are getting to the point where society says "ok, we let you bitch and moan, now shut the fuck up and get a job"
