Melrn Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I'd like advice on your favorite podcasts to share with someone new or Leftist. There's so many that I love that when I ponder what to share with someone to really turn them on to ideas such as welfare, IQ or race, I browse old podcasts and confuse myself! Certain people are specific, my son in college related to criminal justice. I'd point him to a cast about justice or a current affairs cast that included statistics on race and IQ and how it relates. I dated college professor and so he would get pointed to a cast on higher education. But! I've talked to several people who say they would probably vote left but that they have not been at all involved with politics. They are just not turned in at all. Their lefty comment to me is a shady maybe.. What podcast/video do you think would be the best to gently expose them, get them thinking, maybe get them to to listen again, without being to pushy??? I love so many call in shows AND interviews AND rants that I have a hard time picking what to share and so I don't end up picking anything! Please share you favorites that you would share with someone uninvolved but leaning left, to help them take the red pill.. Thanks, -Mel
Pod Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Hmmmm well firstly I would get a sense for how curious they are about new ideas. Do they ask you about yourself? Your ideas? Do they talk talk talk and not ask for any input from you? If so then they're married to conclusions instead of a methodology. FDR will probably enrage them. If not and the former is the case, then yea, show them some podcasts because they'll probably bite. Also, is your son a leftist?
Anuojat Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 The "Introduction to philosofy" series is good but if its left leaning person we are talkiong her then perhaps: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0DFA802C66A4597E Though this DOES come with caveat they must accept 2 thing: They can be conviced otherwise and they are willing to admit if theyre incorrect without throwing a hissifit (tiggering) or delfect/fog/[insert logical falalcy here.]
Tyler H Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I think anti-war stuff may be good for left leaning people. Also I first saw Stef on Adam Vs. the Man, but this was the first video I saw when I googled him; it was down the rabbit hole after that. Bill and Ted was one of my favorite movies though so it may be that he just had me at "strange things are afoot at the circle k" (one of my favorite lines).

dsayers Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Before you set out to change people's minds, it will help you to understand how/why people think as they do. For this, I would recommend the Bomb in the Brain series for yourself. After that, I would recommend Stef's Introduction to Philosophy series. It's long and of relatively poor quality production. However, he starts from first principles and shows how to think rationally. Which eventually, he applies to ideas like a deity and the State. If they're not thinking rationally, no amount of logic, reason, and evidence will change their minds. 1 1

Yeah, the earlier podcasts' content is so fantastic you won't mind the poor audio quality. Before you set out to change people's minds, it will help you to understand how/why people think as they do. Sorry, is there a way to fix that?
thebeardslastcall Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Has anyone tried pointing someone to the Youtube channel with a list of videos and telling them to pick whichever video stands out to them, instead of suggesting a specific one, to see what they pick and where that leads them? I haven't, but if someone does something like that, I'd be curious to hear how that turns out. There are a metric crap-ton to choose from, finding the right puzzle piece can be tricky, if any may fit. I was already red-pilled long before I found FDR, so don't have any video to draw upon as having escaped me to point to, so curious what "converted" others who were still lost when they found FDR.
Tyler H Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Here's a quickie that might probe some questions from them. Wow it has almost 5 million views now? Awesome!! When I first started listening it was at a million.
