aviet Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 http://www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2016/10/18/leonardo-dicaprio-wants-to-bring-back-captain-planet/?utm_hp_ref=au-homepage Gotta love Leonardo DiCaprio! I wonder if Leo will be using an inordinate numbers of sparsely patronised private jets to travel to the eco-crimes he will quash or will he fly by the power of his increasingly chicken-winged arms and legs? It could potentially be a very short film. Leo gets on his plane to stop a man in Harrogate using an electric juicer to juice a lime, but consequently has to apprehend himself for inappropriate use of private jets. For me there is virtually no one I take less seriously than celebrities who are so thoroughly removed from the realities of the average life and saturated in divorces, affairs and string-along **** monkeys. Not to mention barring black people from the Oscars. I think Captain Planet was a major part of my reactionary, leftist indoctrination as a child. A few years ago I said to a recoiled-spring socialist that I thought that Captain Planet had been produced as United Nations propaganda. He kicked and screamed in anger at this suggestion. Turns out it was written by UN apparatchik, Babs Pyle and UN billion dollar donor, Ted Turner, a man so concerned about the environment that he lives the lifestyle of a decadent king and uses his largest private real estate in the US bonanza to undertake the important task of mass-producing the most environmentally-destructive meat. If these people all had themselves vasectomised, shunned air travel and barred themselves from committing their bird-brain words to paper, people might consider their wailing from their ivory towers.
Wuzzums Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 He's kinda late to the party. There was some hype about this years back. Personally I think it's a great idea for making a successful movie, people care more about nostalgia than the environment. The power... is YOURS !
