However, we should pursue a remise to the left based on normative ethics rather than reinstating religious mysticism. Atheism should not be made the scapegoat (to use a biblical analogy!). The problem we face going forward is we have no control over the population. if we were to gain access to a school hypothetically, what would we teach? It would seem the younger a child is taught, the better the moral lesson is adhered to, the more time to reinforced, define its details against the world. Christianity (and every society) has always introduced morality with stories. Stories are more interesting than arguments and there is also the emotional connection to "real" characters vs. person x and y.
