robert1986
When I sleep at night for the life of me I don't think I dream. Why? Is this bad? There is just darkness when I sleep. I do confess I had trauma in my childhood. Is this the cause? It's not I don't recall dreams , I just don't dream. What are some potential causes for this? Jsbrads
I don't know if we can know, but they say you dream and you just don't remember it. REM sleep is one type of dreaming. wakeful dreaming is when your mind has had plenty of REM sleep and you stay in bed and doze...
robert1986
I've done research o this and I did a test. I told my roommate that" once I go to bed if I'm asleep and you're awake, wake me up. Describe how I respond and how long I respond. But wait until I'm fully asleep. " He did this. He woke me up and immediatly I was awake. Now I think had I been dreaming there may be a longer delay. Not an immediate one.
Boss
Dreaming is great to know if you're in deep sleep which is normally the stage of sleep where recovery happens. You can also do dream analysis but I am not an expert in it so I dont know much about it. As far as potential causes on why you cant dream, Is there a lot of light/noise where you sleep? maybe you can try a sleep mask/blackout curtains and earplugs.
