Hello Shadow Voter,

Thanks for your interest and the new views also.

Running out of ideas, huh? Well, don't be afraid to make an argument, I don't generally bite ;)..

6. Sepultura - Kaiowas

7. Thomas Newman - Whisper of a thrill

8. Holst - Venus (from The Planets Suite)

Sepultura and Holst are great, and you can really hear where John Williams gets his inspiration for the Starwars soundtrack from in Venus.

@Spladam

G'day young sir:D

I was recently introduced to Holst by someone who has quite a few good tunes up his sleeve. (I always seek quality music..)

Glad you've enjoyed them.

More to come.

Feel free to add to the list if you fancy.

I try to go for melodies that had invoked feelings/thoughts/realisations in me.

yeah sure:

- Anubis Gate: "Airways"

- Dream Theater: "Breaking All Illusions"

- Voyager: "Peacekeeper", "Lifeline"

- Pagans Mind: "Search for Life"

Also, some heavy stuff:

- Symphony X: "Revelation Divus Pennae Ex Tragoedia"

- Dream Theater: "Panic Attack"

- Circus Maximus: "Ultimate Sacrifice"

If you want to listen to the weirdest song ever composed, listen to "When the Joyful Dead are Dancing" by uneXpect (if you dare).

Dimmu Borgir is amazing, they got to perform live on Norways main TV station during prime-time, 1 hour segment for their concert to played on TV, and the concert itself was sold-out too. I think the concert is called 'Forces of the Northern Lights' or something along those lines.

Actually, the only there I don't know of is the Peter Thomas Sound Orchestra, I'll check that out now.

Nice, 70's experimental/prog-rock. I think I've heard of Chariot of the Gods before, probably from the movie the music was used in. But anyway, this peter Thomas guy seems pretty talented.

Wicked, eh?! (in a positive way) Good stuff.

I'm impressed (that you knew all but one).

Lately(yrs), I'm more drawn towards less heavy/darkness related stuff unless it's 'cinematic or transformative'. Nevertheless I noted your recommendation for later, cheers for that.

Hi @Siegfried von Walheim

Noted. Noted.

Here's a playlist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEJn4R6aZU8&index=12&list=PLRweuK5e82UVQwFl8LeBHEMjb4OAZ9i3y

In particular I like "Distant Fields" the best followed by the "Road of Clouds", "Wind Orchid", "Yonder Dreams", "Battlefield of Light", and "Supreme Ruler Suite".

Definitely great songs for a game that's otherwise numbers and stat-sheets driven. Though as far as I know she hasn't had any musical involvement later in the series, the series as a whole boasts some of the greatest soundtracks I've ever heard.
