I honestly don't have an opinion on them but I hear so much on both sides. My question is not whether or not it is a good idea, not whether it is part of a virtuous life etc. I am just asking about how it affects the brain and why it is bad. I used to have a stronger opinion on it, but after reading a biography about Richard Schultes, my disdain has waned somewhat. He tried nearly everything in his life and still led a productive life.
