Now that I know more about this place, I have additional things to say.  This and lewrockwell.com are my 2 favorite sites other than facebook.  I think every single person at freedomain radio is very intelligent and well meaning.  This includes those who I have had disputes with (which in most cases are quite brief and well mannered).  However, there are a few here (who still seem intelligent and well meaning) who have a bit of a nasty streak about certain odd, random things that most others would consider only slightly annoying and then brush off.  In addition, they just seem to take themselves a bit too seriously for my tastes.  Maybe I am just a goofball and just don't have the proper serious, scholarly mentality for this place.

Or maybe I am just over the age of 30 and just don't have the same level of hormones and testosterone rushing through me anymore.  Wasn't too many years back I got mad at people for dumb things in political forums.

I do notice that at least one, 2 or more of the people whom I have had disputes with have made very serious donations, so I can tell that they are actually sincere.  I am not going to knock them as people on a general level.  Frankly, they help make freedomain radio possible and I have no interest in stopping Stef from making audio/video productions.  Through the years of being in online battles, I have found it is only worth my time if there is a meaningful audience or if somehow I am going against a truly rotten person intending on hurting others.  I don't believe I have yet seen anything of that nature on this particular site.

Finally, I will end by saying that the kind of people who come here, while smart, seem to me to be the numbers, math, engineering, computing, maybe even science crowd.  While these kind of folks are good at being logical, they are a bit more rule driven than others and are probably more likely to be uncomfortable around the art, music, literature and emotion crowd.  I personally like the virtues of both types, however.
