  1. No, I was referring to the inheritance from the grandmother. The new girlfriend will get the inheritance if she marries him and they stay together; which you would have gotten if it was you instead. And maybe the reason you're upset about it is because you feel you made him into someone more comfortable to be around, and now the new girlfriend gets the easy ride and eventually the money too. This actually shows that you did want the failure on a certain level. The fact that you fought so hard to make and maintain a relationship that was never going to work. This is the first time you tried to have a deep relationship, and you chose someone who was entirely incompatible with you to have it with. Someone doesn't change like that just because you come into their lives. That is an absolute pipe dream. Either he is looking to improve and has already improved significantly without you, or he's luring you into giving him your help and affection by claiming that he wants to improve. These vampiric-like relationships have nothing to do with real love. You mentioned in another thread that you didn't know if he really loved you. Of course he didn't. And you didn't love him, either.
  2. Both. Yes. It depends. If they really are, then yes. Yes.
  3. I'm not a fan of Kokesh in the least. He's extremely insensitive and aggressive, and is always trying to stir up problems.
  4. Short answer is no. Long answer is this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343818/
  5. Well if his grandmother is very wealthy, it does mean that he will get a large inheritance when she dies, and he made sure you were well aware of that fact, and that's what I meant. You know that if you have kids with him, money is unlikely to be an issue. I thought it was interesting that you referred to what you're upset about, that this new girlfriend of his will get thanks to you and instead of you, as an "inheritance". About the addiction to failure, I meant your failure, not his. Some people put themselves up for impossible tasks that they know deep down can't be accomplished, but they tell themselves it can be done, just so they can feel awful about it when it doesn't.
  6. Oh, I thought his grandmother was always very wealthy. If it wasn't the money then maybe you have an inner desire for (addiction to) failure, which needs to be examined and dealt with if it exists.
  7. As if the western world wasn't effeminate enough, David Moore brings you... mandatory male bras
  8. It sounds like you wanted to turn him into someone better so that you could stand being with him. Ask yourself what would've happened if suddenly all his money was gone forever.
  9. Firearms are dangerous, like many other things are. If you teach kids to use the stove, or to start a fire in the woods, there is no problem with them doing these things. Likewise, there is no problem with a healthy, smart kid handling a firearm if they are properly taught and trained how to safely use them.
  10. It's not your place to say what someone should or should not devote their time to investigating. You think it's sad? I think it's sad you spend your time telling people like the OP to shut up and go home, because it makes you feel uncomfortable, what he's doing. Look, if you have issues with conspiracies because you feel you've made a fool of yourself in the past, that's your own damn problem. Don't try and project that onto everyone else. If you don't find this interesting or important, then move along and go look for something else that you do find interesting. When you come in here trying to make yourself out to be some wise man who is above this stuff, and you're trying to tell people what to do with their time, you just make yourself look like a fool. Yes, again.
  11. He's taken all the good things that the Catholic Church stands for and turned them upside down 180 degrees, and he's taken every bad thing that the Catholic Church stands for and increased them tenfold. He will continue to do these things, and he will get worse as his mandate continues. The last two popes were absolute saints (pun intended) compared to him.
  12. http://www.theonion.com/video/the-onion-looks-back-at-home-alone,37681/?playlist=recent-news In this mock-up review of the movie Home Alone (1990), The Onion proposes that 8-year old Kevin would've been much safer from the burglars if only there had been a gun in the house and he had been taught and trained to use it. This is what passes for comedy these days. I found myself in total agreement with everything the reviewer was saying, while thinking to myself how sick it is that so many people find this hilarious and ridiculous.
  13. All drugs are designed to attack/poison the body in some way that will mask some symptoms of disease by disrupting the natural biomechanisms that are necessary for health, while simultaneously contributing to developing several other diseases. Depression can be caused by problems in your life in the past, present, and most often also your outlook for the future. Talk therapy can help with that, but at the end of the day, it's you who has to find the courage to remember and understand problems in the past, make the necessary changes to your life in the present, and plan a better future which will improve your outlook as well as your life as the future slowly becomes the present. Depression can also be caused by nutritional deficiencies, or by drugs or other medical treatments such as chemotherapy. It's not easy living a healthy lifestyle, unhealthy food is convenient and designed to trick your taste buds as well as your sense of smell (flavor). What's more we've been taught to fear healthy food and to think of it as disgusting. Using drugs to solve problems is always the easy, quick fix, whether it's painkillers for a headache, caffeine to wake up or stay up at night, alcohol to numb your feelings of shame, or whatever else it is.
  14. http://www.newser.com/story/202171/man-tries-to-pay-taxes-with-insanely-folded-bills.html tl;dr: the 600 $1 dollar bills were folded in such a way that it took tax men 6 minute a piece to unfold.
  15. Yeah, I think so, and the post is back now.
  16. Huh, I wonder why my post disappeared. I think it was showing as the first and only reply to this thread when I made it.
  17. It depends on what in particular you'll be saying and where. Right now in most of the world you'll be safe (you have to investigate the situation in your own area), the problem might come later, however. If the situation is safe right now, but it becomes dangerous in the future, you can't really expect things to calm down just because you stop putting out content. At that point you're pretty much committed as continuing to put out content might keep you safer since they don't want to make a martyr out of you. We might all be in this situation already, who knows. Then again, if it comes to a point where they start doing serious false-flags and blaming all people who speak out against the guvmint, then even the risk of turning someone into a martyr might not deter them.
  18. This is true. Although they could always arrange for their loved ones to leave the area before the nuke goes off. There have been reports of that happening in 9/11... Granted, this would be a far greater endeavor and involve many more people that would have to be warned. However, I would also like to add that people who engage in these acts typically don't have "loved ones" in the way you or I think of it.
  19. I hear you. This is true, about the radioactive bomb, although it would be far less destructive than a nuclear bomb. However, in the scenario I described, government would only have to provide the bomb, but in the investigation they would either find that some enemy government provided it, or more likely blame real or fictitious terrorist organizations for it, even if it makes no sense to you or me that this organization would be able to acquire such a weapon without any govt help.
  20. Tell her whatever you want to tell her. You don't have to tell her anything if you don't want to. You don't owe her anything. Personally, I think it's a good idea to let people know when you no longer want to be in contact with them, and usually explain why as well, but that's just me.
  21. From what you said, she is much worse than the husband. It should be no surprise that she likes him. I think the reason you want to help her is because you're infected with that all too common belief that the only way you will be loved is if you blow yourself up in pieces (http://www.freedomainradio.com/Traffic_Jams/FDR_1131_Palestinians_Martyrs_Psychohistory.mp3); and this is what you're doing. This is the main issue you have to resolve, not in order to help her -she's beyond salvation-, but in order to help yourself.
  22. And yet you have no problem criticizing austrian economics without understanding it. You say it's not scientific. You say praxeology is anti-scientific, even though I explained to you in detail how it is the very opposite. Your insult-hurling is just projection. Ignored.
  23. She is evil and you should end your relationship with her if you value your own happiness and your ability to feel trust and love for anyone in the future, including yourself. Also, you've got monogamy and polygamy in tribal versus civilized societies backwards. It was tribal societies that were polygamous. It's civilization that requires monogamy and family unions. In a tribe, there's just tribal unions. For more on this see my posts in these threads: https://board.freedomainradio.com/topic/36874-is-it-natural-for-humans-to-make-war/ https://board.freedomainradio.com/topic/38292-stefans-comments-on-civilization/
  24. The odds are lower being that he's far smarter than average. (though I don't personally believe he's as smart as most of his fans seem to believe. I would guess he's about 120 IQ)
  25. Well this would be great news if correct; as it would eliminate the possibility of a false-flag nuclear terrorist attack; which otherwise I would consider likely in the coming decades. In another way I suppose it could be bad news, if it means that tiny countries cannot rely on the threat of using nuclear bombs to safely and cheaply accommodate most national defense issues. Then again... if it's true that nuclear bombs aren't real, but they are believed to be real, and will continue to believed to be real, you get the best of both worlds... at least in this particular application. As you get the deterrent against invasion, without the (however remote) possibility of all out mutually assured destruction.
