They talk about how Trump says lots of things that don't pass fact checking. Does he actually do that more than other politicians? Looking into this. It's tough when bullshit Politifact dominates this kind of shit.

How do we know that Stefan has requested a debate with Sam Harris?

My girlfriend is a feminist
BaylorPRSer replied to Druid's topic in Men's Issues, Feminism and Gender
Working with a therapist who is skilled with setting personal boundaries and teaching you to do the same (Drew Davis who commented before me would actually qualify or can put you in touch with someone who is if he can't squeeze you into his schedule) will enable you to answer these questions for yourself. It's very clear you do not have this ability (please don't take offense, I'm still developing it), and therefore, your romantic relationships will almost definitely harm more than help you. I would avoid romantic relationships until you've developed this skill. If you work hard it will come sooner than you think. -
Using the Evernote Web Clipper to keep this handy. Cheers. I'm going to implement a lot of this.

Room is a mess. A lot of the time. I let my email inbox build up and I get worried I'll delete an important email. I'll start cleaning my room and get sidetracked easily. I misplace things often because I don't designate proper places for things. I just answered the first things that came to mind when reading your reply. Honestly, after reading it, I realized that I'd never asked myself those follow up questions and that "getting organized" is a vague and imprecise phrase. I'll mull this over more.

Thank you very much for the recommendations! I'm afraid I'll set myself up for failure if I pledge to not drink over the holidays. I live in Vietnam, but am returning home to TX this week for the holiday season. I don't think my will power is quite at the level necessary for me to be around people I haven't seen for a year and not drink. I love your analogy though. Very helpful. I'll use it as motivation to form and break new habits.

I've been doing anapana and Vipassana meditation, but my practice has lacked consistency. I'll give your technique a shot, but it's takes me awhile to form good habits. It took me years of starting and stopping exercising before I finally started doing it consistently.

I'm not organized. I've always been disorganized when it comes to pretty much everything. I was diagnosed with ADD when I was young and put on meds for it. I ceased the medication when I was 18 or so, but unfortunately, I began smoking marijuana shorty after that. I'm 27 now and have been weed-free for two months. I still drink alcohol, but I rarely get drunk. I'll be giving up alcohol at some point soon. I say this because I'll accept any resources designed to help ADD people (or people who struggle with concentration for those who are skeptical of ADD) or resources that help disorganized people become organized. I'll likely start with one resource and stick to it. Any suggestions?

I tried unfollowing people incessantly. You can't get away from it.

Need roommate in Salt Lake City, UT (Cottonwood Heights)
BaylorPRSer replied to Tony Crowe's topic in Meet 'n Greet!
Damn, I live in Vietnam at the moment, but I'm eyeing a move to SLC around July/August. I've had an FDR roommate before and it worked out well. Hope you find someone soon. Let's meet up next year. -
Podcast where Stefan discusses his 10x theory?
BaylorPRSer replied to BaylorPRSer's topic in General Messages
I'm specifically looking for a podcast that mentions his brother AND 10x. -
There's a podcast I want to revisit in which Stefan discusses his relationship with his brother. He mentions a theory called 10x, which states that for every moment of abuse, you need 10 moments of health in a relationship before the relationship can be beneficial to you. Anyone know the podcast number?

This is another interesting element. https://twitter.com/AndrewBreitbart/status/33636278100561920 It appears that Andrew Brietbart was convinced that John Podesta is a pedophile and this was years ago. He died shortly after; however, no foul play is currently suspected.

At the very least a culture of appreciating art and performances that glorify murder, satanism, pedophilia, and cannibalism among elites has been uncovered. At the most, we've bumped an iceberg that is a pedophile ring. If you're of the mindset: "well, they're not violating anyone's property rights by purchasing art that shows children being tortured", then I could understand how this isn't huge to you. I do not share this mindset. I vehemently detest the idea that my tax dollars are paying people who are into this shit. So even if there's no pedophile ring whatsoever, I still advocate spreading information pertaining to pizzagate far and wide.

I remember seeing a connection from the pizza place to the head of the government child trafficking department. If that's legit, then we're literally faced with asking the pedos to investigate themselves or do it ourselves. Given that the clear choice is to do it ourselves, it's frustrating that the subreddit on this was banned.

I would have to be making an objective claim regarding what is the best outcome to be begging the question. I'm talking about my personal preference for the best outcome. Saying that I'm begging the question is saying "your subjective preference for the whip instead of the blowtorch" is false or "your subjective preference for a certain candidate" is false. "Additionally, this deployment of force is imaginary. In that a person has no reason to believe that their vote actually contributes to anything. Between institutions such as the United States' Electoral Colleges, to tampering, to rigging the elections, nobody has any proof that their vote has any influence on the outcome." My reaction to arguments like this reminds me of my reaction to the Larken Rose types who say "borders are immoral statist bullshit". Borders are imaginary. A wall is real. A fence is real. But borders? How can those be said to be physical or observable? If morals apply to existing people, then how does it make sense to say borders are immoral? If you're saying that your vote doesn't do anything, then how could one be committing an immoral action? This is like accusing someone of spraying graffiti with canned air. I'm not seeing how voting is a UPB violation.

To your first answer, I agree. I don't think my reply indicated anything besides my agreement. I would absolutely prefer to not pay taxes to anyone. However you're saying we have options. We don't. This January, a president will be inaugurated, and we don't have other options. To your second answer: your post wasn't about dignity, it was about morality. I'd like to think I'd be sane enough to prioritize my flesh in the scenario I mentioned, but it's not relevant. There is no philosophical onus on me to not say the words that I have determined have the highest likelihood to give me the best outcome, nor is there an onus on me to not check a box in a booth that i have determined will give me and/or a given group of people the best outcome.
-
Wouldn't this line of reasoning make more sense if having nobody for president was actually on the menu? If a slave master says "whip or blowtorch" and I say, "neither", and he says, "blowtorch it is then", aren't I being masochistic? I wouldn't be condoning the whip by saying "whip", but I'd be expressing my preference for being whipped over being burned given that saying "neither" is more likely to result in a worse outcome for me.

I don't know what Jewish supremacy is. I skimmed the thread and didn't see a definition, so if someone could give me a definition, that would be good. RoseCodex mentioned IQ and culture, but only elaborated on IQ. Mike MacDonald, author of the aforementioned Culture of Critique, has done some great work on this. Watch some youtube interviews of him. Basically, Jews as an aggregate are identitarians in ways that whites as an aggregate are not. Yes, I'm aware of the alt right. I understand it to be a fringe group currently. I also understand all white identitarian movements to be fringe. Not only are they fringe, but most whites recoil at the idea that whites should see themselves as a distinct group with its own interests. This is what allows white SJW's that engage in self-hate and sympathy towards violent groups like Black Lives Matter. Jews employ evolutionary strategies such as providing access to better marriages and business opportunities to the most intelligent among them. They also practice in-group preference. They also are at the core of every left-wing intellectual movement that denounces those whites who engage in those evolutionary strategies. They are at the core of pro-immigration reform, which ultimately leads to whites becoming minorities and thus, losing their political power. I'm just guessing at the sort of thing you're looking for, since I'm not sure what Jewish supremacy is. There are people who say they have contributed to the decline of the nuclear family as well as the rise in teen pregnancy, drug use, and other things. This is a subject I'm still looking into.

I know when apartheid ended in South Africa, car jackings, murder, pretty much everything crime related skyrocketed. That's a good and visceral example of multiculturalism failing

No, I'm saying that the idea she is choosing to communicate non verbally instead of verbally is only relevant if communicating verbally is possible. She doesn't have the vocabulary or information processing ability to express her experience, so the likelier reason she is communicating this way is just that. It can't be because she "feels that using words would be inefficient" because she doesn't know and understand the word in the first place. No, of course you don't have to articulate the abuse in order for it to be abuse. I'm just worries I'm not being clear in describing the girl'a current language capabilities.
