  2. And we think that we have graduated from and grown out of Royalty? This is american royalty basically. Monarchy never left, it just changed it's costume. That is the danger to giving into all these words from control structures. This "ism" or that "ism" it is all one cohesive march towards distraction from the central paradigm of violent domination. They don't care what you call it, as long as the domination continues...
  3. creakins, on a scale of 1-10 how interested are you in a relationship are you with with your friends keeper girlfriend?
  4. Looking for evidence of this "rationalism" and not seeing it...
  5. I would suggest reading "Real Time Relationships" right out the gate. It is a free book on this very website. I think it is worth looking into how conflict was dealt with in your household as a child. If I was going to make some guesses I would guess that you were not modeled taking criticism and negotiation as a child. Now, that is not to say that your uncles were directing valid criticisms at you or that they were even attempting to criticize you at all. They may have been simply trying to insult you and provoke self attack. Nowhere in your post did I see you attempt to communicate honestly to your uncles how their comments made you feel. You jump right to escalation by your own account. Now you are aware that you are prone to anger, so, that is a good start. But you are neglecting the opportunity to explore the source and possible resolutions of these situations through open communication. This is obvious when you share that you were dreading the situation knowing what the results would be, your explosive anger. So frustrations with situations are a natural thing; and frustration grows into anger when the frustration is not openly and honestly dealt with. Neglected frustrations and conflicts grow into anger and anger is a natural and vital reaction to such a situation. But if you continue to neglect your frustration turned into anger you will eventually turn your anger into hatred. This is all a natural progression. But if you want to avoid anger and hatred then you need to be able to communicate your conflicts and frustrations before they fester and grow into extreme anger and hatred. Here is the hard thing about learning to take criticism; When someone criticizes your ability to constructively internalize criticism, you reject that criticism; because, you are bad at taking criticism. It is a kind of vicious circle. so thus, I would start with self knowledge and exploration into your childhood to see where you learned this type of behavior. I sincerely hope this is helpful and ardently believe this is something that you can overcome with sufficient self knowledge...
  6. A couple things. First it is not "stefans approach". Hopefully that is self evident. Secondly, I do recall Stefan has outlined the response to this particular issue many times. Maybe not specifically and point by point in regards to this video. The issue basically comes back to the "how????" discussion. "Who cares" and "I don't know" are the only reasonable answers. Only when children are raised properly is the "how" even relevant. Once it is actually relevant it will be impossible to outline at this point in time. I do think a debate between Stefan and Cantwell would be interesting. But I also think it could possibly go the Peter Joseph and/or Sam Seeder route and be interesting in all the wrong ways...
  7. Another flagrant usage of the word "seems" in place of a rational argument. So many feels, so little time to support your wild assertions...
  8. This article needs a parody done of it badly...
  9. I vote statists. Because, although religious people are almost always statists and statism is a religion, at least western theistic religion is mostly relegated to the realm of non-violence. Like, at most religious people are going to give me sour looks and pray for me. Statists, in contrast, want to throw me in a cage for a number of reasons and are coercive in a number of ways. So, it really comes down to the actions. Pudding, proof and all that. Also religious people are usually aware of your diverging ideas, most statists will not even be able to comprehend the anarchist position and will try to insist that you too are indeed a statists despite yourself. Wretched. Furthermore, participation in religious institutions is voluntary. But participation in the state is mandatory. Like imagine a christian could actually send you to hell and could just take the lords 10% directly from your paycheck. Statists can do just that with jail and taxation respectively. Statists threats are very real and produce real harm compared to religion. And again, statism is a religion, but for ease of distinction I will just call theistic religions "religion" and statist religions "statism". Like Stefan said, "if only Social security had the integrity of a ponzi scheme, that would be a big improvement". Well, likewise, "If only Statism had the restraint and self-knowledge of Christianity that would be a big improvement"...
