For future reference, how do I embed the video rather than just posting the link? Thanks. Anyway, enjoy! It's not often criticism is cordial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tsr4XjyNuQ&list=UU255AfKquZnQMO0amxdEGWw I think a response even if just a written one would be polite and, well, I agree with John. I would like the Truth About Stefan Molyneux to fit with the MO and also the rigor of the others in the Truth About series. It is much more difficult to speak about oneself without bias of course. Thing is, if I did a video like that about myself it'd turn into an autobiography so I wouldn't begrudge Stef for not going into all the details he surely could should he decide to do another one in the future having agreed with JtO's criticism.

Alright. I didn't get much in the way of acknowledgement of my point. At least I don't think so. Maybe I'm missing something? As for what I think, well, I posted it didn't I? I believe it explains trolling to a tee. Bringing someone down to a lower level, tricking them into caring about a non-issue you're lying about just to get their goat, and feeling elated and proud of yourself for dragging them down into the mud with you. It's an attempt to elicit an irrational response from an otherwise rational person and then bringing their failure to their attention with a hearty, "LOL!!!1!!1!!!1" That's what trolling is in my mind. I've spent enough time on youtube to be fairly certain.

So I just read this youtube comment that I thought was right on the money. Under the video "Addicted to Managing Irrationality," it reads: - - Stefan inadvertently explains the motivation for trolling. Thoughts? Seems apt, especially the part about feeling victory.

Get Woody Harrelson on the show - he is an anarchist
Mr. Wrong replied to GYre0ePJhZ's topic in General Feedback
I hope he does come on the show if only because he looks like Stef and I like the burgeoning stereotype of 'the old, bald, white guy telling you what to do' that's popping up here and there. Does he have a twitter? It's not like he's being interviewed by anyone who actually cares about what the thinks. This could be a nice change of pace for him. -
Anything he has jokingly said with regard to the penis has been memorable.

Child abuse intervention. This time at my job.
Mr. Wrong replied to Three's topic in General Messages
Well done. I find those situations more difficult after the fact because my emotions are in conflict. I can't decide whether to walk tall or feel horrible for the child. I can't do both. I would defend kids even when I was working as a Christian sports coach. Do you feel the same way? It's hard to balance personal pride with sympathy. -
Well, what was interesting about Kreia, and probably why she was never seen or heard from again, is that she argued that the Force itself had a will and had manipulated the universe to it's whim. She concluded that it was evil and needed to be destroyed. Essentially, she pointed out that the writers of the entire Star Wars mythos were full of crap and had no right to make claims about morality through the Star Wars fiction. She was correct. She also introduced the non-aggression principle to me in a roundabout way. She's what killed my interest in Star Wars from a story perspective and shifted it into more of a philosophical study. A study into how it's totally bogus and the people that don't understand that. I like the Star Wars mythos insofar as I can use it to argue philosophy with people who aren't comfortable arguing it outside of their fictional universe. I'm really more interested in the people and the authors of the content now. That goes with other fiction as well. Unless there are some really stellar characters I tend not to engage in a whole lot of fiction from a fan's perspective.

I read your post. Frankly, pointing out that their codes are nonsense is, I dunno, a cheap critique? If I were to judge every fictional universe on it's moral codes or whatever passes for them I'd wouldn't enjoy any fiction. The characters were fun and it was Kreia that brought something interesting to think about. At least for me when I was 14 or so.

Look, it's not funny.....but I found it funny. I love watching someone's sense of entitlement be shattered. That it's a woman being refused sex by a man just makes it even better.

Paul Elam on the Woman Against Feminism.
Mr. Wrong replied to Bortasz's topic in Men's Issues, Feminism and Gender
The synergy of the free market will eventually spark a peaceful parenting arm on the Men's Movement. Hell, the Men's Movement sparked an anti-feminist, Men's Rights arm in the Freedomain community, right? All we have to do is keep at it. The Men's Movement would very much like to claim their's is a better parenting methodology and also add weight to their claims of single-motherhood being worse for children and, of course, child abuse is going to be a key factor addressed. Erin Pizzey has also brought up the concept of the cycle of violence so it's not like there aren't huge voices in the Men's Movement not already informed. -
At least ethically speaking, I can't extend my same capacity for ethics to animals without also holding them to that same standard. So if I make the claim that killing animals is wrong, I should also prevent the lion or the wolf from doing so. If I don't I break the universality in that system of ethics, no? As I see it, if you do not have the capacity to recognize me as an individual just like yourself, no merely another animal but another thinking animal, then I get to eat you. Besides, it's not like cows are going to save the Earth should a meteor strike. It's the toll they pay....XD

It stands to reason. The media hates him and most people follow drooling after the media. There is no market for him until we start to gain more ground. On a related note, I've been concerned about Schiff's health due to his purple head which could be the result of heart trouble.

I could discuss for hours how the Jedi and the Sith are both evil. If you love Star Wars canon you must inform yourself about Kreia who was, technically, my first introduction to the non-aggression principle where 'The Force' is simply the 'Use of Force' which Kreia found evil and wanted to extinguish from the universe. She felt the force had a will of it's own (no kidding) which she identified as manipulative and, of course, objectionable to her. She was the first Force Anarchist in other words. In the end the MMO ditched all the interesting stuff she introduced and focused on the Jedi good, Sith bad, nonsense all over again. They didn't make use of a character known as the Exile very well either who was, essentially, an anti-force user. The stronger her opponent the stronger she became. Around other powerful Jedi she was impossible to beat which made her the perfect partner for Revan who was super-duper powerful. Revan was like the Death Star and the Exile was like a Black Hole. It would have made for a very interesting character study and philosophical questioning. Oh well. I didn't expect Lucas Arts to allow Star Wars to be taken into such interesting and challenging places. Especially the obvious revelation all the Star Wars mythos teaches that, despite claims to the contrary, the Dark Side is more powerful than the light. That, and that the Dark Side isn't evil and the Light side isn't good.

Former Denny's Waitress Amassed 75 Denny's Restaurants
Mr. Wrong replied to Alan C.'s topic in Current Events
That's an awesome story. It's inspiring actually. -
So here's a theory! It could just be me and my own experience, but when I read into someone's words I find their flaws much faster than through a picture though admittedly it's mostly conjecture. I think rating a personality higher based on a picture alone makes some sense due to this. Actually, I imagine people start with the photograph first and the profile, more often than not, detracts from their rating rather than adding to it. So for example, if your picture has you looking like an 8/10 in personality, your profile can only bring you down from there. Perhaps it's not shallowness that rates personality higher just based on looks. Perhaps it's a general cynicism that rates personality lower based on the profile. I mean, you've seen how most people react to opinions (subjective conclusions) and that's all a profile is. Devoid of any explanation of your rationale I can see why most people would be turned off by a profile. Makes sense to me.

You ever think that Google is secretly ANCAP central and attempting to reinstate the free market through it's international control over communications and trying to amass the tech for a defense company so that it can defend itself after it secedes from all national affiliation and forms it's own society? Yeah me neither. Here's hoping though!

Given that in places like Australia you're forced to vote via a strict fine, the violence he uses to make people vote isn't all the far fetched. It's just that your wallet bleeds and not your nose. Still made me laugh though!

Okay, thanks everyone! I'll be cautious around it and play by ear after some more exposure in the forum.

"Humanity First and Foremost" parts 1-4 provide an excellent intersection of philosophy with men's issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy2e4NsDnkQ 12:00 - 15:00 of Part 1 is, for me, a particularly important part where Barbar outlines how the enjoyment of sex and intimacy for a woman, not as a tool for personal gain or manipulation but the shear enjoyment of it, is paramount to the male psyche and male sexuality in particular. I regard that 3 minutes as essential listening for any woman (and man) attempting to understand men and male sexuality. I really mean that. When people in libertarian circles talk about an awakening where others begin to see the system for what it is and fight back, I believe a huge part of that, for men, will be these ideas. MGTOW, or at least the discussion in MGTOW circles, is a huge step in this process and falls almost in lock step with the philosophy I've been exposed to via FDR.

So while I've been a member for a while this is my first time actually interacting with you lovely people. The first thing I read in the forum was that Stef, in 2009, had closed the topic of Determinism. I don't think it was his fault... Now my question: I've read through the Guidelines and I don't find anything objectionable save for the vagueness (or perhaps not) of "No Swearing". Is this specific to the words themselves or their use? I have a broad verbal palette but understand that not all language fits everyone's taste. Please let me know. Thanks.
