I'd like to thank Antony Sammeroff for a great intro coaching session today! It was very relieving to talk about issues concerning e.g. motivation, procrastination, time consumption, fear of approaching potential clients etc with someone who shows real empathy and understands what it's like to be in to voluntaryism, sefl-knowledge, philosophy etc. I believe this is Antony's profile: https://board.freedomainradio.com/user/15255-loveprevails/

Any FDR folks in Cape Town / South Africa? Might go there in October and would be interesting to meet other minded people there

If one hypothetically were to engage in agorism, it would be preferable to be somewhat safer than by using e.g. Gmail. Any suggestions? -
Hi y'all - please join the group "FDR Scandinavia" on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1378600752428241/ We've started up a tradition of weekly virtual meeting for Scandinavian FDR listeners - each Sunday at 20:00 hours: https://appear.in/fdr-scandinavia (if the appear.in solution proves bad, we may change to a different platform)

Sorry mate, but you base your conclusion on the assumption that one can only measure length with rulers - i.e. you consider existing technology but fail to consider possible new technologies. Rulers - as any other piece of technology - may be rendered redundant by a new technology. We already have laser based devices that can measure an object's dimensions without the use of a ruler. Now, can you imagine a world without lasers?

My bad, I apologize - I am sorry that I went on an emotional rant about this, when it was clearly my own mistake - i.e. that I failed to understand the nature of this forum before posting in it. In the pursuit of self-knowledge, I should know better than to direct the frustration of my own mistakes on to others. As a result, my reputation has suffered - hope I can make it up to you guys in the future. I have changed the title and the initial post to be concise without the negativity in it. Hope you approve of it as it is now? And thanks for all your advice and elaborate responses! -

JamesP: I will change the phrasing if possible when I get to a desktop computer, mobile won't let me. -

Thanks for your explanations guys. @phuin - what kind of email system do you consider to be safe? -

In the specific thread that I link to above, I wrote details about my most intimate relationships that I haven't yet discussed with the people in question - because I need advice on how do proceed. What would otherwise be an appropriate place to discuss that with fellow FDR listeners? I'm aware that e.g. my gmail account is not safe from spying eyes - but at least it's not widely open to the public - only to those determined to hack it. What does it take to become a gold donator? -
I was surprised to find out a couple of days ago, that many (perhaps all?) forum threads/posts are public - any one can read them without logging in.I changed my avatar to an anonymous one and deleted some very personal posts in this thread:https://board.freedomainradio.com/topic/40811-primary-caregiver-separation/- and checked my other threads to see if they contained anything sensitive.I wonder why? As I see it, it counteracts what I thought was the purpose of this forum? If I want something to be completely public, I'll put it on e.g. facebook or twitter. I'd better refrain from using the forum to discuss the most sensitive topics that I would like to discuss with fellow FDR listeners.

Thanks, that would be great - please do!

Wow, I'm surprised that this content is visible when not logged in - it is highly personal - I don't want the whole world to be able to read it, so I'd better delete some of it.

Hi, I'm Danish, married to a Dutch, currently living in Norway. I have a bunch of other Scandinavian FDR listeners as friends on Facebook. Met a few FDR folks in Amsterdam recently, the community is quite strong there, apparently - too bad I didn't realize that while I still lived in NL until February this year.

I've heard Stefan and others say that being separated more than 20 hours a week from the primary caregiver is damaging for children - which would mean that daycare is practically a no-go. Is that true? If so, can you direct me to the documentation? From and to what age would that be the case?

I saw a post recently by freedomainradio or Stefan saying something like "ADHD is not a decease ...". I can't find it. Help please?

I don't understand a whole lot of what's going on in that video - I don't know the context. Anyway, most celebrities and other very rich people are statist because the state has made them rich - without state enforced copyright / intellectual property / patents, they wouldn't be that rich. We all hate stupid laws and regulations when they limit our own freedom and we all want our own opinion enforced on other people's lives and property when it suits us. That's what happened with Russel Brand - he knows that something is terribly wrong with the system, so he'd like some magic gun to enforce his opinion on other people. Probably the same with Matt Damon if he actually believes the words in that speech that he performs - so he'd probably like to wave his magic gun around to make people behave the way he wants them to. These people get a lot of attention, their videos go viral and they feed the statist cattle with anxiety to vote for more laws and violence next time around. That is why it is important to respond and explain why they are right about the problem but not the solution.

It appears in this video that Matt Damon is an anarchist and that he encourages civil disobedience: http://www.upworthy.com/one-of-matt-damons-finest-performances-was-never-in-theaters Perhaps Stefan should invite him on the show or create an open reply like he did with Russel Brand. I realised later that Matt Damon is in fact performing / reading a speech of Howard Zinn from 1970. However, it kinda looks as if he actually means it. And there are so many of these upworthy videos going viral these days that it makes sense to respond to them - most of the upworthy videos have a statist / leftie agenda. Which reminds me that particularly this upworthy video is extremely popular and has gone very viral: http://www.upworthy.com/9-out-of-10-americans-are-completely-wrong-about-this-mind-blowing-fact-2 It is about the distribution of wealth. The typical person that posts it on facebook is a socialist or raving statist and the conclusion is always (at least amongst Europeans): USA is a libertarian hell-hole - see how libertarianism leads to inequality - we need more laws, regulation and taxation. I think it is extremely important to explain to people that this insane inequality is the RESULT of statism, not an excuse for it!

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I found various options for recording presentations on my screen. The most straight forward on a windows machine seems to "Microsoft Expression Encoder 4" which in the free version allows up to 10 min recording. It records sound and footage simultaneously but that is fine for now. As I become more experienced, I might want smarter editing options - and e.g. to record the narration separately, then mix it later. But this is just fine for now!

Hi everyone! I was born in Sweden, grew up in Denmark, worked in Norway, now live in The Netherlands but will soon move back to Norway again. That means that I have grown up and been brain washed to believe in statism and walfareism - with the worlds' highest tax level currently in Denmark. Within the past year and a half, I have made the journey from what we call moderate "social-liberal" to anarchist. I have reached this enlightenment mainly through debating political issues on Facebook. I always had that gnawing feeling that something was entirely wrong with the whole system - and when I first heard of NAP less than a year ago, it sort said "click" - suddenly it all made sense to me - a bit like taking the red pill in The Matrix and waking up to see for real what you have always subconsciously known. In Europe "social-liberal" means that you believe in free markets, but that you support a welfare state with social security and socialized healthcare and universities. I am 39 and would you believe that I have never heard anyone arguing for libertarian or anarchist views until a year ago. Such politicians or public figures don't exist in Europe. I had never heard of the moral arguments for libertarianism - only the economic. And that is in spite of the fact, that I have always taken more than average interest in social science. I even took extra classes in social science in secondary school. I intend to make some narrated presentations myself with content promoting a free society. What do you / Stefan and other free society promoters use to produce such narrated presentations that you put on youtube? Cheers, Jonas
