  1. doing another search on the topic and getting more results than before. Seems there have been more people trying it with results to share on dedicated restoring sites. Restoring gives different results but generally an improvement. Just takes a few years dedication for most and occasionally a year for others. At the time of writing, https://foreskinrestoration.vbulletin.net/ looks like a more established forum for restorers and appears to be fairly active, and—dare I say—a more suitable place for discussion If anyone were curious about restoring, that’s an active community for support with sub forums with the specifics.
  2. I watched this because Stefan said it was a good film in a recent video. Great plot, beautiful scenery, with good morals.
  3. Channel Topic: Navigating toxic relationships Format: Monologues pinpointing manipulative behavior through personal stories, using terms associated with disordered personality. The subject matter is very very serious, but he manages to make light of it all and he is one of a kind. Needless to say, I don't agree with him in everything; he's not entirely philosophically consistent but his ideas and flow of presentation are brilliant and have helped me tremendously. In an incredibly head-tripped stressful time for me his videos helped me to navigate toxic relationships and isolate horrendously toxic behaviors in manipulative relationships. He's helped me as I learn to identify and treat those behaviors as seriously dysfunctional. These are my three favorite videos from his channel, I hope you find the information and his personal insights to be of help or use to you. P.s.: His voice will grow on you! P.p.s.: thank you Sacha Sloan on FDR and YouTube for recommending his channel to me!
  4. I went to my state's works agency hoping to receive help with interviewing and applying for jobs. Before they evaluate my qualification for these services, I must register for the draft. If I do not I cannot even be evaluated for eligibility for these services. I am 23. I don't want to register for the draft. I thought it was a choice when getting my license at 18 and chose not to register. She told me "you have to" register, and not doing so is breaking the law. Is not registering for the draft illegal? I don't want to be drafted. I could really use expert interviewing help. I may be accepted for their interviewing services and job search help. But it goes against a base of the brain fear of death and against my principle of the NAP. I know it's ironic to some extent, because it is a state subsidized service, but I believe the benefit of help with interviewing will outweigh the costs of money I could waste continuing unemployed, as I am, otherwise unless world war 3 breaks out. At the end of a spiel of questions she had for my account creation on their agency's website, she told me of their services; I asked her about the intensive one on one help with interviewing. She emphasized it was only for people who really needed it. I was sure I could use the help, and still am. She said, alright, but you'll need to be approved after answering more qualification questions. She looked like she kind of doubted my need, in a mean kind of way, and asked me if I was okay with continuing. I was okay with that. and so I gave her answers to other questions she asked. It got to a point where she said that she just needed to sign me up for selective service to move me on. I was okay with that and then the webpage she was on to register me stopped her, my last name was incorrect on the form. "Shoot" she said. I offered her my other name and she began the form again. As she refilled it, I asked her what "selective service" was and she told me, offhand, the draft. I held her up. I didn't think she should have the authority to register me for the draft on her own computer; first off, it's not me on that computer, second off if we're discussing my need for free-market help, the military is like the opposite venue. It astounded me. She told me I would have to register before they could figuring out if I would be eligible to be eligible for interview help and job search one on one help. Is this a bad route to take? Is it illegal to not register for the draft anyway? Have you had success in your state, working with your state's works agency finding work? I can use their computer stations searching job listing websites, and ask for assistance on applications I am filling out I think, and I can search through books full of job postings that they printed out and put in thick binders but I feel overwhelmed by the people there and I have a computer at home and time alone. I think a different environment might help, especially surrounded by people with similar purposes, but I see the environment also hindering me. A lot of other people applying for jobs are there too but nobody I know, or that I think I can get to know. It feels odd a little. I want mock interviewing help and I want to work one on one with someone. And talk to people who want to help me. Ironically my mom works one on one with people in a similar way but for disabled and impoverished people, for a different organization. She recommend I go here if I didn't want to work with her or my dad on interviewing and job searching. They fundamentally do not care for me which is why I feel I have to use the state workforce agency, also my dad doesn't have experience interviewing people and my mom is fairly new and doesn't even like her job. I have also talked to my older sister about jobs and she had no patience for me or my interests. These people when I went there seemed more interested in finding out what my interests are, but I don't think they can help me unless it is one on one. If I chose to register for the draft and am accepted to their more intensive services, in person interviews would be very helpful for me. From what I am told, I can come in every day they're open if I want to and from what I understand practice with different employee interviewers in this room filled with low walled cubicles. They have a morning class on writing resumes that I can join open to everyone (~50 people). I'd really like the community's help with this..
  5. I sense these questions are more for you than me for I am not constricted by a "should" or "ought" or "need to" when considering whether or not to get my IQ tested. I just want to know what is. A reliable IQ test, according to my understanding, that tests for G is better termed an IQ measure. And so having or not having my IQ tested will not make what is any more is-er. IQ, or G, exists whether or not you test it. And it measures cognitive ability. How much can you change it? And how? Beats me. I want to take the test. I don't care to flaunt my IQ like some biological scumbag alpha or whatever. That's nonsense. It's meaningless information; unless you use your intelligence your intelligence is useless. To tell someone you're intelligent is much different than showing them how you have capitalized on your abilities. I'm only concerned with knowing which test is reliable and where to take it and with whom and what the cost is of a reliable G-measuring IQ test. If you have more information I'm glad to present you a platform to provide it.
  6. It would please me to keep replies to my post relevant to my original questions so I will respond only to information you provide me that follows them. I want actionable-level information so the more specific answers you give to my questions the better. And so now I'll ask you more specific questions about answers you provided me: What kind of psychologists and therapists administer IQ tests? Where did you hear they cost between $60 - $120 from? What is the name of the test or tests you were discussing with your therapist?
  7. Which IQ test(s) reliably measure(s) G, where can I take it/them, what agencies or persons administer them, and how much does it/do they cost? If there are any special conditions the agency/agencies or person/persons you name require, What are the conditions I must meet in order to take it? Thank you : ]
  8. I picked up the book and read the first few chapters, on Socrates, Plato, Diogenes Laertius, and some of Aristotle. The idea that historians framed philosophers as solely men of precepts, rather than adding additional information like hobbies or things like that, which had the effect of making them seem like preceptors was really interesting to me. They just speak, and wisdom comes out, little else written about them. Just basically devine beings on earth. I can see how that fundamentally shapes the conversation of philosophy to favor Plato's ideal world of devine men of god. Very interesting to hear about how Plato actually tried to acheive his philosophy on earth in his lifetime, as well as Aristotle's try. Had little clue about their application of philosophy before the book. Very interesting read, I recommend it to others. I'll likely return to it for further reading in the future. I like to compare people around me and their traits in my life to the traits of these philosophers, and their humanity-changing lives.

  10. I have been watching the uploads by Eli the Computer Guy on YouTube the past month or so. He's a YouTuber that does tutorials on computer tech. He's on a cross-US trip visiting tech startups while vlogging about being a technology professional and his experience in computer business. Myself, I am not in computer science. That's a caveat. From what I understand however, is if you have the skills and are competent--whether you have a degree or not does not really matter. I'd recommend not asking any school advisors or take their recommendations with a hefty skepticism, because they are being paid by the school to sell you degrees, often. Wherever you are in your career, I recommend a book I just read after having gone through college and dropping out: "Worthless", by Aaron Clarey.
  11. Thanks for the recommendation! I really enjoyed that movie. The analysis was very very heavily analytical, I'll probably have to re-watch it to get it all, do you know if the analysis is still available on YouTube? In your OP here, at the current time for me it says the video has been removed by the user.
  12. I am reading "For the New Intellectual" by Ayn Rand, in which she describes her philosophy throughout her career as an author. This section is on, "The Fountainhead". She gives a passage from the book and labels it: "The Soul of A Collectivist". Reading it struck my memory of this post. Pages 76-83. Published by Penguin in December 1963.
  13. No, that is not the case. Self-defence applies to individuals working as policemen. People do not lose their sovereignty and natural rights by joining a group in uniform. Policemen do carry out other tasks such as arrest, along with the FBI, of libertards who avoid taxes, but when a violent human being initiates force on a fellow human being in uniform, the cop is acting in self defence if he decides to engage in force with the other person since he's already been agressed against. It's important to identify that it's not always the government or cops who initiate all violence.
