Thank you for this , I remember being shocked when I learned about what happened on Christmas 1914. It is a real shame that historians and the general public seems to think of that moment in the war as just another event, and interesting footnote in the grander scheme of the war. When Stef was talking about that day I was brought to tears with him, it is such a powerful, wonderful moment that captures the capacity of human compassion.
