Hi I live in an apartment in a housing association. Lately I've been thinking about how this association and other associations and clubs work. Let's say that a number people buy a big house together. The one who wants the biggest apartment pays the most. The yard is sort of owned by all members. Some things are difficult to keep track of, like how much water everyone uses, so it's payed for in a common way. Members and their friends have the right to use the yard but it's not for all people. The children of members also have certain rights unlike non members. The association has a bunch of common contracts and other decision making handled by a small group called the board, which is elected with each apartment having one vote. This is almost like a mini state. What if the association is well managed and is able to buy another house. The mini state is growing along with it's rules and political power of the board. This made me a little bit sick when I thought about it. Of course anyone is free to sell their right to an apartment and move but that is what I usually hear from statists when I say that the state is coercive, violent monopoly. What do you think of this?

Thanks for the thoughts. Maybe I'll focus on the people that I plan on having a relation with in the future. That is where I can see an obvious upside to the discussion.

Thanks for the insight. It would have been good with that kind of consultation prior to the surgery but I don't know if there was any in this case. I don't have full knowledge of his financials but now he has taken six months off from work to do nothing. This is strange to me because he has always had pretty good motivation. I think he is mentally "burned out" but doesn't want to face that so he takes "time off" instead. I could always just let him know that I'm here and keep probing like you said.

I would really appreciate some help in dealing with a friend of mine. We have known each other for about fifteen years. We were even room mates while studying. Now he is acting differently and I think he is depressed. He has had problems with jobs, girlfriends and family. Lately he has not wanted to see me and finally I found out why when I insisted on seeing him for a coffee. He had his nose done but told me that he got punched in the face. I believed him but he thought that I knew the real reason for his bandage. He thought that I thought he was rediculous. I tried to make him understand that I respect him and his personal decisions and that I really appreciate him as a friend. Now I thought that we figured it out but the next time we were almost back at square one. I'm worried about him and suggested therapy. It sounded like he wasn't totalla against it. He is short on cash so maybe I could pay for a few of his sessions. What do you guys think?

Hi I'm trying to work on self knowledge. I think a lot about my childhood and have gone to see a psychologist about five times. The plan is to see her twelve times for now. Overall I just have a few interactions from my childhood or teenage years that I feel really bad about. Now I'm thinking if I should contact these people to talk about it or if that would just be weird since it was at least twenty years ago and I have no contact with most of them. I definitely learned from these interactions and I consider myself to have a big conscience. If I look back and understand that I did something wrong I would never do it again. The few that I do have contact with, my brothers for example, I have started talking to and let them know that I feel bad about it. What do you think I should do about these people from my childhood?

Finally out of the bubble/matrix

Hello RichardY The website is www.frihetsfronten.se but the Facebook page is better updated. Hi Zeus I agree with you. I have started to think about moving but it's a big step with my family near by and so on. Maybe Denmark is a good alternative if the situation is significantly better than in Sweden. What do you think? My impression is that the socialism and taxation is sligtlly lower but not much. -

I bet it's the same in Norway A4E. Cesco, I don't think man-hate and immigration are directly related but they are both parts of the crazy leftist concept. We have one out of eight political parties which is not pro-immigration. Members and voters for that party are constantly shamed in media. I don't know much about the men/female ratio but most immigrants are men claiming to be children but aren't. I can't really interpret your swedish friend's answers but there is a lot of denial and shaming going on. Yes, I'm trying to pick up the discussion in a friendly matter when I get the chance. Hi Zeus Yes, it's nice to see some more Scandinavians here. The danish situation seems to be somewhat more realistic. Our government sponsored media is so completely twisted towards the left it's scary. The city of Malmö is one of the worst places where a complete parallell rule system is being developed. -
I guess it could come down to tolerance. If you pick on someone because of his/her looks, preferences och personal decisions, it's bullying/aggression. If you on the other hand criticize someone's moral, logic or hehaviour towards others it's ok. That would be my instinctive division between what is ok to criticize/pick on or not.

In Sweden right now we have several issues going on in parallell. There are the migration, feminist/man-hate, failing economy, increasing socialism situations going on. I'm interested in debate and the degree to which politicians and public figures lie and use false arguments just became unbearable to me. I thought that there has to be more people who think like me and I finally found a group called something like the Freedom Front in swedish that opened my eyes even more. -
Hi This might be one of the very classic questions that fairly new libertarians annoy the veteran libertarians with, but here it goes :-). I really like the non aggression principle but also understand that it isn't exactly as simple as it could seem at first. What about if you were constantly bullied by your class mates in school but not physically. Let's say they constantly call you fat and stupid. You have to be in school and cannot escape. If you tell on them, you become the problem for the teachers. Maybe you don't have such a fast mouth so you can just argue and joke back to make them stop. One day you had enough and punch one of the bullies in the face. You just broke the non aggression principle. In a way you could say that psychological bullying is an aggression but maybe that is a slippery slope. What if someone thinks that criticizing his/her religion equals bullying. I havn't yet figured it out. What do you think? Best regards Anders

Dear Forum Members I'm very happy to be here. Since about a year ago I have started to break out of my imposed life to join you on the other side of reason and morality. When I grew up I could get the feeling that something wasn't right but could not really understand what it was. Now, important questions are answered every day for me through philosophic discussion. I'm looking forward to interact with you and find even more answers. I live in Sweden and work as a Management Consultant. Best Wishes Anders
