To original poster RichardY Please model Stefan in the pursuit of facts. Your story turns into fantasy really fast. God asked for a sacrifice and Cain brought the wrong thing. I bet Stefan would point that out if he were to read your post. Sacrifice of lamb was a shadow pointing to the sacrifice of the Messiah that would be offered by God. I will leave you with this. The story of Cain and Abel describes what will happen in the latter days. There will be two groups both claiming to worship God, but one does it as they see fit. The one in error will rise and use violence against the one who worships according to God's will.

I'm using King James version of the Bible. Read 1 Timothy 2:14 which says "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression." In Genesis story Revelation 12:9 shows who was tempting Eve "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world." Edit Also it's not the women that should be submissive but married women. Read Ephesians chapter 5 verses 22 to 24 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

As for God not coming to Earth himself would be hard to explain since there is little information about the trinity. In John 14:9 Bible says "He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father" and John 10:30 says "I and My Father are one". It also requires to understand Jewish language of what being one means. In Jewish language married couple is one even though there is mother and father (Genesis 2:24). Creation of hell is also a very misunderstood Bible concept. Read Revelation 20:9-10 that describes the execution of punishment after fair trial and 2 Peter 2 verse 6 to understand that "burning forever and ever" means the consequences of punishing fire will last forever not the actual burning. Since it says the same spot where lake of fire was burning Jesus recreates into a new earth. Now, finally for your original point the answer is surprisingly simple. If there was an excuse for sin it would not be sin and guilt could not be assigned. I encourage you to read a book "patriarchs and prophets" chapter 1—Why was Sin Permitted?.
