ows. Oops, I seem to have hit the tab button by accident, sorry about that. Anyway, as I was saying, it has been a long time coming, but I finally shelled out the big 20 (pause for applause).

My name is Pablo, I live in Uruguay but I also am of Austrian descent. Before you say anything, no, I don't want to "put another shrimp on the barbie", I said Austrian, not Australian. I'm 24, about to finish my undergraduate engineering degree, work at an LPG distributor, live with my parents and my younger brother, I enjoy coffee with an episode of The Sopranos and my maltese dog is called Wendy.

I first saw Stefan when he was dining with his family while I hid in the bushes outside of his house, but before that I had watched his debate with Jan Helfeld on Minarchism vs. Anarchism. At the time I considered myself an Objectivist and rooted for the Jan but I also felt threatened by Stef's arguments against Minarchism and so I decided not to watch more videos of him because that would mean opening a can of worms.

Two years later, an anarchist friend of mine forced me to watch "The Truth About Voting" and I was blown away, it hit me at the gut level. After that I learned about his community Franklin Delano Roosevelt and started watching his videos about politics, then ethics, and finally I reached the creamy center: happiness, relationships, psychology. I can clearly see now the relationship between personal freedom and freedom in society and am convinced that this is the way to go if I want to help save the world.

My objective is to meet and make friends with like-minded people, learn, teach, get inspired, cry, understand, empathize, sympathize, and the rest of the good stuff.

A philosophical philosopher philostalker. :) Hi, Pablo. Congratulations on finishing up your undergrad degree, it must be a relief. To celebrate we could...put another shrimp on the barbie? I know, I know...I took it there...couldn't resist. Welcome.

G'day, hombre! Welcome to the group.

The video that blew me away was the one about us living on a "tax farm" -- "The Story of Your Enslavement."  I'm a sucker for a good story, but that one hit me square between the eyes.

Also, I prefer to spy on Stef with a telephoto lens and a laser microphone.  It just seems more respectful.  But to each his own.

Thank you for your welcome. I remember watching that video: finally 12 years of completely boring history lessons came to life.
