Guest spam dumpster Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I've been subscribed to Stefbot on YouTube since some time in 2011, but it was merely a week ago when I frist listened to a live podcast and signed up for Freedomain Radio. Even though I've been here a week, today is the first time I've ever so much as been in the chat room when there wasn't a Sunday call-in show on. I've been meaning to do this a while. I could make an excuse about being busy, and I have been much of the time, but there was still time before now. I was just procrastinating, I guess. Besides, I do like almost all the people I've spoken to in the chat room, and I don't dislike any of them. It only makes sense to spend more time here. Well, I'm The Ceej. The most famous comedian you've never heard of. Among my various comedic ventures, I've also been known to get deep and emotional in my work, especially in the short stories and photo work, artforms that don't much lend themselves to comedy. A Futile Plea To A Battered Wife, enjoyed by Stefan Molyneux himself, is a particulary moving (even if it's not funny) article using an abusive husband as an allegory for the state. I'm in favour of freedom and the non-aggression principle, like most people here, but I also believe that a sense of humour is needed to carry us along. A sense of humour is the single most important thing you can have, and that's something I can bring. Now, if I can just find enough time in my busy day to do this more often, this won't be my only post...
DaisyAnarchist Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Hi there The Ceej. Welcome to the forums. I am also a newcomer. That is a fine article you wrote, thank you for sharing. I believed humor is needed to help us as well. I don't know that I would have made it as far in life as I have without letting go and laughing. I believe, and I've found that others believe, we all laugh at tradgey (of varying degrees) because it's a way to make light of it and cope with it. Which sounds like a rather serious take on comedy :b Is your comedy primarily in the form of blog posts, or do you use other media sources?
Guest spam dumpster Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 The only difference between comedy and tragedy is in the presentation. I could be crushed and destroyed by reality or I could make light of it. Thanks for welcoming me... To answer your question, my comedy takes on many forms including short films, one-liners, song parodies, and even a stand-up routine in the works. It can even be very dark at times, but that's more of a reflection on the world than on me, I might argue.
