Hi everyone,

Im a long time follower of the show and I just wanted to introduce myself.

I'm a writer and teacher from Bavaria, Germany and in my late 20s.

After growing up in the north eastern part of Germay,  the former GDR, I was pretty much as far away from beeing a libertarian as possible.

I was all into saving the environment, strenghtening the social safety net, keeping foreigners out of Germany and you name it. Moving away from the social democratic ideas I then became somewhat active in the FDP ( a sorta classical liberal party in Germany), but was quickly disappoint by most of the political discours revolving around banalities and how the other partys are dumb statists that want this much welfare while we only want this much.

So starting in early 2012 while working on my Phd in physics I got more and more into liberianism. Which definetly played a huge role in me stopping to persue the career in physics (and by that the governmental universities here in Germany) and moving towards building my own private tutoring and ghostwriting business.

This has grown fantasticly in the last two years, due to a lack of quality private and public schools here in Germany, and I was able to build quite a brand for myself.

Additionally I grew another business of writing, lets call it "articles", in all areas from history and economics to physics and math which has put me in a comfortable spot financially and allowed me to find the time to get involved with various libertarian groups in Germany.

Unfortunately their level of understanding in the ideas of freedom is mostly very superficial and most Germans generally completely fail to see government for what it really is.

Luckily knowledge of the English language allowed me to digest a lot of the libertarian material out there and I recently have started translating some of it and adding my own ideas to it on my website www.vernunft.co

After also trying to get involved with a little online activism, I'm looking very much forward to interacting with the community here, since the German political communities are pretty much unbearable for the most part :(

So I guess thanks for reading and greetings from Germany :)

Welcome! I hope you can start producing media in German so German speakers don't have to speak English to get a hold of it.

Trying my best in that regard :) Uphill battle though, it appears German culture about political arguments is all about changing the subject once you realize you got no clue what you're talking about.

It is really interessting though that most of the material Stefan, mises.org and so on talk about is completely unavailable in the German language at this time so maybe it can bring a little education to the public who knows ;)
