ParaSait
Tervetuloa! I just wanted to say that the history of your world view sounds remarkably similar to mine. (except that for me, libertarianism began with Rand...) Also, I haven't read that quote you cited before, but I really like it, it manages to elegantly express in words my love for integrity. Thanks for sharing!
Plplpl
Kiitos! I will definitely read some Rand, just have to wait a while because I have a lot of reading to do for university. Thanks for the reply!
bishal
Hello, how are you doing telsu! I am not a Finn but currently live in Finland in Helsinki too but cannot speak finnish language. I have been listening to Stef for more than a year and am interested in Ideas of free-society and peaceful parenting. Nice to know about your story, hope we can chat more Regards Bishal
Carl Green
teslu I did my middle school european country report on Finland (we each got a country) though all I can remember of it right now is that you guys have a lot of lakes. I think ancap is just a term that fits with the actions of not taking from anyone. Personally I use the term voluntaryist which also fits that description but is much less likely to be heard with projected baggage. See ya around
Matt D
Telsu, That's great to hear about your flip from socialism to anarcho-capitalism! Thanks for sharing your experience in that journey. A lot of times we assume the path from statism to philosophy is linear, but it sounds like you went in a kind of backwards circle if that makes sense. Sure, let's chat! teslu I did my middle school european country report on Finland (we each got a country) though all I can remember of it right now is that you guys have a lot of lakes. See ya around Yeah there are around 200k lakes in Finland, which makes it approximately one lake for every 25 people. Thanks for the kind welcome! Telsu, That's great to hear about your flip from socialism to anarcho-capitalism! Thanks for sharing your experience in that journey. A lot of times we assume the path from statism to philosophy is linear, but it sounds like you went in a kind of backwards circle if that makes sense. I guess my progression was: Raised and indoctrinated to socialism -> Heightened interest in logic and reasoning -> "Damn, this socialism stuff doesn't make much sense now..." Thank you for the welcome!
