Tyrone Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 It's been a few years since I've posted on the freedomain boards but I'm back baby! First off, I just want to say how thrilled I am that this community has done as well as it has. Go team freedom. I hail from the good ol' days of philosophy on the Queens Ways in Volvo vision (back when I had donor status . I guess I'm back to being the proverbial guy on the couch until I have some shekels to throw in). Where did I disappear to? Well in the time since I've been an active member I have had a brief career as a software developer then a bass player then a speculator. I was trying to figure out exactly what is that I should be doing. Finally, after years of toil and ramen I've managed to carve out my niche as entrepreneur in game development, putting free market philosophy to practice. I can tell you that the concepts I learned here play no small part in my continuing quest for self determination. Now, despite the fact that my viewership and participation dropped of the map I assure you my dedication to the truth, in my day-to-day, did not. I can proudly say I have turned many people on to this broadcast who have also greatly benefited from it. I can't tell you how many times this has happens when discussing world issues with a friend: >discussing world issues with a friend >friend sees there is a huge problem >I mention a few factoids about history >friends openness to rationality rising >send friend link to freedomain channel >20 mins later >kaleidoscope mind explosion of propaganda revealed to friend >I nod approvingly So anyways. It's good to be back.
equipoise Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Hi Tyrone. Until now we had something in common, no one had greeted our introduction. I like the word "hideous" but sadly it was probably a typo,"hideout" having been intended. But then it sounds like you have been busy so "hideout" might not be right either. Maybe you have returned after being laid low by a hideous illness.
soccercake7 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 There is a colloquial phrase, "Back from a long Hiatus".
equipoise Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Or maybe back from an absence caused by a hideous hiatus hernia.
