I've been listening to FDR for at least 3 years now and really heavily just in the last 2 years. It wasn't my first introduction to voluntaryism, though, I was first brought to that conclusion about 8 years ago by sites like STR and TOLFA, and I felt very isolated for a long while being surrounded only by people still in the matrix. The NAP and Austrian economics are really only one piece of the puzzle, though, and FDR really clinched it all together for me, and it has had an immeasurable impact on my happiness and just my sense of having a "collected" mind - no more(or at least far fewer) conflicting beliefs and contributors to cognitive dissonance.

I'm in my mid-20s, and I have my sights set on establishing a family and to parent peacefully - I see it as the very best thing I can do for my species and legacy, and the best recipe for a jovial old age. I'm fortunate to have a girlfriend whose mind has a natural logical bend to it, and she has taken pretty well to voluntaryist philosophy so far, though she still has a fair amount to digest. I think it will be a more tumultuous journey for her to reach emotional wellness than it was for me, with her ACE score of 7 compared to mine of only 1 - but I've been helping her along as best I know how and her courage in tackling these demons never ceases to impress me; it feels like we've already gotten so far and we've only been together for 3 months! I'm very optimistic about our future.

I hope to network with fellow members of my tribe - who have hitherto eluded me ^^ - and thinking long-term, I aim to eventually settle down near like-minded folk. After all, it takes a village to raise a child!

So, greetings from Massachusetts!

I have heard of it - I'd love to attend a porcfest at some point! Idk if my work schedule will allow for it this summer, but it's definitely on my list of events to check out. I'd have to get myself an FDR shirt to wear for it so my fellow listeners can spot me ^^
