We need more Stef memes. Here are my first two efforts at filling this need. Add more, post pictures or quotes you want me to make into more or just tell type words. Your choice

What the hell do you think is going to happen to children who are just abandoned by bad parents in public schools that leave them together in large groups with minimal adult supervision? They are going to do really stupid and self destructive shit.

Wesley it's very disappointing to me that your post was not accompanied by a Doge meme

Equality is evil because it requires that you knock down or otherwise hold back those capable of success.

Homeowners association

HOAs can be ridiculously over bearing entities that hound and harass you into following the rules, I've had both good and bad HOAs. However the thing that separates them from government is that they are completely voluntary. If you don't like their rules don't move into the neighborhood. This forces HOAs to compete with each other. They want their neighborhood occupied by the kind of people they want so they have incentives to run themselves in the manner that attracts these people. Why are "intellectuals" so stupid?
LanceD replied to Jay Paul's topic in Libertarianism, Anarchism and Economics
I think I have a more important question. Why are you paying these people to lecture you on their immorality? I mean you say you disagree yet you are paying large amounts of money to the schools that employ these people. While I understand we are all trapped in societies dominated by the state and that we cannot step out of the system and really live all the things we preach. However there are plenty of optional things that further feed the system we can decide to do or not do. Well from my point of view you are deciding to further support the system that created these people. Edit: while I don't intend to edit the content I do believe my post needs a small clarification. I do not intend to be aggressive or attacking. In simply attempting to be direct and concise.- 15 replies

Yale censors a student-made course ranking website

I find these stories very funny. Immoral people take actions that preserve themselves and their ability to continue to act in immoral ways and everyone gets surprised and outraged. -
FORCIBLE CIRCUMCISION TURNED THIS MAN INTO AN ANTI-CIRCUMCISION ACTIVIST
LanceD replied to Rob_Ilir's topic in Current Events
As an unclipped male i'll tell you that the foreskin itself doesn't need to feel anything. It's a matter of protecting the head of the penis from constant rubbing on clothing and things that cause callouses and desensitization.- 7 replies

Utah addressing homelessness by giving away houses

So they are finding a more efficient way to spend stolen money. However are they now giving the saved money back to the people they stole it from or reducing the amount of money they steal in the future? Yeah didn't think so -
Doge coin is a joke, it's based on a meme and was made as a good on Bitcoins. Why would anyone take it seriously? Wait I like this one better

Highlighting children's pain with street photography
LanceD replied to TacTZilla's topic in Peaceful Parenting
I think you are witnessing bad parents putting their kids in martial arts and confusing it for problem with martial arts themselves. The dad fact is a majority of parents are bad parents and competitive activities tend to attract a particular variety of bad parent. So while I would never doubt your observations I would suggest you refrain from generalizing before looking further into such a topic. I'm a peaceful parent yet my son is very interested in doing martial arts. I would also say that for many boys they can be an incredibly beneficial activity. A lot of boys, mine in particular, have an immense amount of energy and a need to do things with their bodies. My son is in constant motion, even when he decides to "relax" and read a book he remains in motion, usually bouncing around his room with the book in his hands. Physical activity is important for children like this. Further more martial arts can be great ways to build some serious confidence. As well as learning to protect one's self and in my opinion every free person should learn to defend one's self. -

Highlighting children's pain with street photography
LanceD replied to TacTZilla's topic in Peaceful Parenting
I really like the first connection you shared. That really is an interesting way to display bad parenting techniques. It's amazing how much information is contained in a simple photograph. You definitely have a special skill with the camera. However in regards to the second collection you linked I don't understand its purpose. Do you think children competing in martial arts is wrong? Or are you simply using your photography as a way to explore the topic? -
Should Inheritance be Abolished...?
LanceD replied to super.bueno's topic in Libertarianism, Anarchism and Economics
Building cars is a matter of public interest? Private companies build bridges, governments simply decide where they go and due to ridiculous rules radically increase the price of their construction. The lack of government would not prevent a community from pooling resources to build themselves a bridge.Heart surgery is not public interest. It is the interest of the person who needs the surgery. I don't need it why do you need to drag me into the transaction?Similarly other things considered the public interest really are not. Roads, utilities etc are interests of the communities they service. Not the interests of every person within a region declared a country. My community's utilities are provided by a coop which is a not for profit agency owned by the people it services. It provides the community with good services, great jobs, reasonable prices, very quick upgrades to infrastructure and all profit is distributed back to the community. Coop's could easily replace many of the services government currently provides and in fact many things coops currently do are mistaken for government services. Even defense could be handled in such a manner. If the threat actually exists and you can make the case to convince people of the need it wouldn't be hard to fund it without theft through taxation. We already see this in action as many Americans are happy to see their tax dollars fund our military. Why would this change without a government and this nonsense public interest argument?- 129 replies

Should Inheritance be Abolished...?

I have a question. What is the public interest? I know that I'm interested in many things, my wife is interested in totally different things. The guy I'm currently working with is similarly interested in different things. So how do we suddenly come to an agreement that we all have a public interest?- 129 replies

Yeah this is what I've been thinking the whole time I've been reading this thread. OP it seems like you enjoy being the guy who saves your son from your wife's bad behavior. When really what you need to be doing is addressing the way your wife acts. Whenever my wife or I step out of line the other is very quick to intervene. The child deserves to be defended and abuse by the parent needs to be stopped. Your wife behaves badly, you need to show your son what a man does when the strong are preying upon the weak and defend him. Then you need to help your wife see the error in her ways instead of using her culture as an excuse.

how was "swearing", treated in your household?
LanceD replied to Save_Yourself's topic in Self Knowledge
You had a terrible childhood and I'm deeply sorry. You did not deserve to be treated with such cruelty. The thing is though, cussing has absolutely no bearing on your post. I can't help but think that you are using the question you posed as an excuse to tell some of your story. Well I'm here to tell you that you do not need an excuse. You can tell us anything you need to and we will read it and respond with empathy and understanding. -

You are blaming the test while ignoring the truth it presented to you. In both examples you are making an error as both statements presented cannot exist together. If you are not an anarcho primitivist then you obviously believe it's okay to damage the environment for non necessities. Since the only things considered necessary are food, water, oxygen and shelter allowing the environment to be damaged to provide anything beyond that is contradictory to the statement. As far as the money to save lives. I'm really curious why you would agree with that statement at all. I've seen you write many posts that show off an impressive intelligence and capability for reason. Yet you fell into this trap, because while expending all resources to save lives sounds really nice we would quickly run out of resources to keep the ones who don't need saved alive and destroy our entire society. Aside from the fact that this thought quickly leads to near unlimited violations of principle and morals.

What passes for deep thinking on Facebook (HuffPo).

I'm looking at the piece you linked and was trying to consider your words about it, then suddenly I was struck by the "I am not my bulimia" picture. I swear to freakin god that is my ex girlfriend Meagan. Then I forgot everything I was thinking and totally lost focus on what I was doing -
Just remember Ivan. You can device to educate yourself on any topic, at anytime in your life. However staying in an abusive situation is delaying the necessary healing process and simultaneously increasing the amount of time it will take, as well as increasing the amount of money you will have to spend on therapists.College is expensive on its own, then add the money you could have been earning to the cost and compound all of this by realizing your education is coming at the cost of your sanity and emotional well being. This will have an incalculable cost and be a detriment to every aspect of your existence. So please, I emplore you to really think about this. Is a college degree and the potential for greater economic opportunity it may bring you really worth the cost?

The schedule for vaccines was created based on the world in which the first vaccines were created. Back then the diseases they combat were widespread and newborns could quite quickly be exposed. So the decided course of action was to vaccinate ASAP and in a lot of ways the Risk vs Reward worked out positively. However it's a much different world now, and yet the medical community hasn't revised the schedule. From all that I have read it seems like allowing the child to develop as much as possible without the vaccines is probably better for the overall health of the child. So while it may be good for you to do some early I don't see why they need them all at once and so early.
