  1. That would explain the staggering amount of non-arguments in the comments.
  2. There is no confirmation that the man is Podesta. Not even close. Why don't you change your clickbait title?
  3. Wait... So, supporting Trump is one of the worst things someone could do as a libertarian, but voting for Johnson—a clueless lunatic who is only libertarian on paper—is fine? Can you clear that up for me?
  4. Thank you for the correction. It turns out that he made the tweet on election night, not after the trailer of his show aired. Here is the actual tweet. I'll correct my post. I don't think the date in which he tweeted that challenges my point much, though. I did not answer the OP about the movie because I did not watch the movie. I actually posted to answer KeepOnGoing's post, as you can tell. There is something curious I found out yesterday that is worth mentioning: The guy who made that tweet is not listed anywhere in the IMDB page of the show, even though he proclaims himself as a writer of the show on his twitter bio. Here is an article about the reaction of the creator of the show to the backlash towards the trailer. Might be more relevant than the tweets of that Jack Moore guy. Sure, there is a possibility that the show will be something other than leftist anti-white propaganda, but I'm not holding my breath, personally.
  5. It is what it seems to be. It'll be way worse than the movie. This is the twitter account of the writer. Have a look by yourself: https://twitter.com/JackPMoore He tweeted this after getting criticism about the trailer He tweeted this on election night. EDIT: This is the target audience for the show... EDIT 2: Correction.
  6. The link doesn't work. Maybe they deleted the article?
  7. Sorry, how is eating ice cream not universally preferable?
  8. I can't see it either, but it looks like this guy re-uploaded it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6ttPhFcTUo
  9. What I'm about to say is about game projects, but I think these principles can be applied in pretty much any other type of project. I am working and have worked in game projects with other people in the past. It was always with only one other person. So far, every one of those projects has failed. People start to lose interest and stop showing up, and I end up working alone, and then I abandon the project before finishing it. Despite that, I am pretty sure that the main cause of failure was the design, and the planning. It is extremely important to make it clear what you are going to make before even starting development. Spend hours and hours in front of a notepad, brainstorming for ideas: game mechanics, story, theme, the intended experience. It is essential that you can picture your game being played in your head before starting development. You also have to take into account the time it's going to take. The game design has to be realistic, meaning that it has to be achievable in a certain amount of time by the people working on the game. This means that if your team never finished a game before, you have to start with a simple game. The simpler, the better. You also have to keep in mind that game design is an iterative process. You don't know if your idea is going to work. That's why you have to build quick, basic prototypes to test your ideas, polish them after you play it, then build another prototype. If you want your team to be engaged, then you need to make them see that you have a clear vision of the game, and what needs to be done, and that your goal is achievable. And yeah, having a game portfolio will help tremendously when it comes to attracting people to work with. It will be really hard for you as a game developer if you don't know how to code, or produce art, so you might as well learn some of that along the way. Your games don't have to be polished. Whether they're good or not, they will help you grow as a game designer, not only as a programmer/artist. These FB groups are a good place to look for people: here, here, here and here
  10. Could you tell me how the show was "SJW mongering"? I don't remember much of that. Sure, the show has a lot of magically overpowered women who didn't earn their power, but what else is there? I did not detect a lot of propaganda. That's why I loved it so much, I think. Maybe it's because it was a while ago. I watched that episode you linked again, "Restless". I agree that that scene with the gun might have been a statement about Government, but it may also just be what Buffy is feeling at the moment about Riley. It's Buffy's dream, after all. I compare this with the dialogue in Willow's dream: BUFFY: "But what else could I expect from a bunch of low-rent, no-account hoodlums like you? Hoodlums, yes, I mean you and your friends, your whole sex, throw 'em in the sea for all I care, throw 'em in and wait for the bubbles, men with your groping and spitting all groin no brain three billion of you passing around the same worn-out urge. Men! With your ... sales!" You could say that this is Joss Whedon going on a feminist men-bashing rant, but I'd disagree. I agree with this reviewer that says: "This speech from Buffy could mean a lot of different things. It could represent Willow's subconscious opinion of men, which might be influenced by her emotional turmoil surrounding Oz's abrupt departure and brief return. At the same time, this could represent how Buffy actually feels about men, which after Parker and the soon-to-be gone Riley could be so. Harmony is crying in the background, and the only thing I can think of that this could possibly represent is Buffy's human half. I think Buffy, who's dressed in black, represents the other half -- the Slayer. That's why Harmony is so sweet and Buffy is so forceful and hard. Some interesting evidence is that there's also a dead guy dressed in black lying on the floor in between Buffy, the Slayer, and Harmony, the girl. This also could be foreshadowing how Buffy is going to close up even further emotionally after her break-up with Riley. It's becoming increasingly obvious that Buffy has been a lot more emotionally distant in her relationships since she had to kill Angel in "Becoming Pt. 2" (2x22)." My point is that it's all about the characters in the show, and not about a universal statement that the show is trying to make.
  11. Maybe you could explain to us how the caller "Owned" Stef. I personally did not see that when I listened to the conversation, but maybe I missed something. EDIT: If Stef was trying to bury the call, then why did he upload it in the first place? And why did MMD post it on the boards? The thread is still up.
  12. OMG! This is so awesome. I absolutely loved the VVVVVV soundtrack. I actually listened to it multiple times, even when I wasn't playing the game. You are really talented. What a pleasant surprise to see you here! Great song, man.
  13. I recommend this subreddit for the topic of Assange's whereabouts: https://np.reddit.com/r/WhereIsAssange/ This post sums the situation pretty well: https://np.reddit.com/r/WhereIsAssange/comments/5e9v1x/some_basic_facts_all_in_one_place_i_wanted_to/

  15. Concepts do not exist in empirical reality, but what the concepts refer to do exist. You make a mistake when you say that "everything is a concept". That's not true. Concepts are made to describe real things with similar properties. You can define "chair" as "a separate seat for one person, typically with a back and four legs". When I point at a chair and say "That's a chair", the concept "chair" is abstract. It doesn't exist. But the thing I'm pointing to does exist as an instance of the concept "chair". You can feel it, see it, sit on it, etc. Concepts are there just to communicate what you're experiencing. They don't describe what they refer to with perfect accuracy, but they're extremely useful nonetheless. Otherwise, I wouldn't understand anything that you said
  16. Welcome! I see you all around Youtube in the comment section
  17. I just read about this https://fee.org/articles/how-policing-works-in-a-privatized-city/ What are your thoughts on Atlantic Station? How private is it, exactly?
  18. Only Whites and Asians.
  19. Please, show this to the Japanese.
  20. Welcome! I live in Argentina too! Do you live in Buenos Aires?
  21. Someone already mentioned Buffy, but I wanna also mention 2 other characters from that show: Willow and Tara. We see them develop their skills episode by episode (especially Willow), to the point where they're really powerful witches, thanks to their diligence alone. The following characters I'm gonna mention are not fighters, but I still think it's worth to mention them in this thread because they are talented doctors/administrators who earned their talent. House MD: Thirteen, Cameron, Cuddy, among other female characters that came in later seasons of the show. They are often targets of jokes by Dr House, who is the head of their department. These jokes frequently are about their gender or their sexual appeal in a manner that could be considered "offensive" by your average SJW. However, they understand that they are harmless jokes so they just continue doing their job. Sometimes they're even entertained by those jokes. Dr House also says lots of stereotypical black jokes towards his black employee, yet he also understands that they're just jokes and sometimes he even entertains them. It is sad to think that the show probably wouldn't have aired today because of stupid stuff like this. Not without a script change, at least.
  22. Weird, I can't see the post
