  1. My friend... I am an ethnic European of Western soul that was by accident born and raised in Latin America. You see governments failing almost everywhere in Latin America (with the possible exception of Chile). Do people lose faith in the State? No. Only in the current government or in democracy itself. They have a messianic vision that some politician will become a dictator and fix things or that a military coup will happen again and save them from leftism.
  2. Believe it or not, during Obama's administration, the security services were not allowed to look at the persons social media websites. There could be in their regular, real name Facebook account "death to America!" and they could still be admitted. There is always the possibility as well that President Trump will just say "well, we still have no way to verify their information, so let us extend this ban for one year more this time." Which in my opinion is the best solution to begin with
  3. It is in this times that I feel proud for still renting movies from my local movie rental place. (Believe it or not, they still exist!)
  4. I wonder if those 10,000 were really Europeans. If they kept only Caucasians of European Descent in the survey, it is very likely the percentage would be higher, with a super majority of 60 percent or more.
  5. I think that at least a significant amount of free market has to exist in order for science and technology to actually improve the lives of the people. The Soviet Union and other communist countries made a lot of technological advancements with a planned economy, however, most of them, perhaps even all of them were military, industrial or aerospace related and brought little to no improvements in the average Joe's (or Ivan's) life.
  6. That is nothing... My ex-wife, showed me that there are videos of "elevator lovers". They are usually kids, and they go around looking for different types of elevators to make videos about them. My ex-wife would never compliment someone and was always looking for things to criticize on other people or ridicule. For weeks after discovering those vĂdeos of elevators she would be watching them while laughing at the autistic kids.
  7. Someone buys something (game, movie, gun, toy, etc) and makes a video of himself opening the box and making comments of where they bought it, how much it cost, how it fits in their collection and so on and so forth.
  8. That is false advertisement! The cat only appeared in the very end of the video! Jokes aside, that was a good analysis. Experiments show that pigeons can categorize, one of such experiments is here: http://www.pigeon.psy.tufts.edu/avc/huber/ Instead of saying "white Danes" and "non-white" or "Arab Danes", I would just say Danes when referring to "white Danes", as the ethnic Danish people are European. Or say "ethnic Danish".
  9. Again not an argument. You are just quoting an authority figure without context or actual explanation. You admitted to my point by saying it is practically an universal truth, which implies it is not.
  10. Is the one for Washington D.C/Maryland/Virginia located in D.C proper? Or where? I live in Pennsylvania just north of the border with Maryland.
  11. I never said it was a fallacy -- I said it was not an argument. You are being rationalistic. You are using theory as if it was reality. Theoretically tacticians are skilled in warfare, so they must be unpredictable. Not necessarily, many things in the Army are made to appeal to the lowest common denominator. You are using a false dichotomy here: if war sometimes can be predictable, if some commanders are predictable, it does not mean that 100 percent of the war or all wars are.
  12. Same here. That is normal, it is very hard and borderline impossible to find someone (anyone) in which we agree one hundred and two percent with a two percent margin of error.
  13. He looks exactly like Phil Collins... he is probably as non-white as me or less than that. (I am 92 percent European and 8 percent Native-American) If you are 90 percent plus something, you are something. And even if that was not the case, I do not see how this changes the validity of his argument.
  14. Overall an excellent video. Would just disagree with the program being broadcast in Spanish would be wonderful. it would not be, by the same reason that bilingual schools are a failure -- it actually acts as a shield to prevent assimilation. it keeps it possible for Spanish speaking people to get along by using their mother language, instead of putting them in sink-or-swim situations where they have no other option to succeed than to learn the language of the country. Kids that go to bilingual school might learn English, but they do so with an accent, and do not learn it as well as they know Spanish because they will most likely have as their peer group other kids who do not use English as their main language. I lived for a while with Russians. The father arrived in the country 20 years ago and barely speaks any English at all, he probably knows ten phrases, and even then, with an ultra heavy accent. How? He moved to a neighborhood where the majority spoke Russian (although ethnically they were not Russian) and therefore it was never necessary for him to learn English.
  15. I happen to be located in York County, Pennsylvania.
  16. I wonder if he saw that and would allow you to make a comic book about him, haha.
  17. "Without music, life would be an error." - Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche.
  18. Not an argument. You only made a quote of an authority. Of course there are predictable tacticians and strategists. That is part of what differentiates good ones from bad ones, although again, not necessarily. Erwin Rommel was a "trickster", he was an unpredictable general Feldmarschall, while Walther von Model was probably a better general, specialized in defensive warfare. He was much more conventional in the way he dealt with war, however, the determination and superb discipline made him extremely effective nonetheless. Go back to the trench warfare in World War I -- is there anything more predictable than the Western Front in that war?
  19. Trump will never cut/limit legal immigration Trump will never end birth-right citizenship Trump will never pick 2(or 3?) supreme court justices
  20. "Not an argument!" - Stefan Molyneux.
  21. While I still have the sensation that I was born way too late... In some ways it was kind of perfect timing, in the sense that I was not aware of anything important during the "end of history' period, of 1991 to 2001.
  22. But you would have to physically have the typewriter to make the connection.
  23. Yes... It might be that I was just unlucky coincidence because it is such a small sample.
  24. A little off topic, however, I remember reading news some years ago (Perhaps seven?) that the Russian Secret Service, the FSB had switch back to typewriters so their information could not be stolen. I always found typewriters to be so fascinating. Never had one though.
  25. I know what you mean. I used to be the same way -- if I did not have my coffee, even for one day, I would get headaches and feel very tired. Since the idea of being dependent of anything is repulsive for me, what worked to change that was drinking water instead. A lot of water, and after ignoring the symptoms for a while, the headache would go away. Four days doing that and the lack of energy and headache went away. While I do enjoy coffee and it helps to concentrate and get energetic, I usually limit myself now to only one caffeine product per day only, with no exceptions. Either I have one cup of coffee (strongest possible, usually imported, because American coffee for me is nothing more than colored water) or a soda. While the desire remains to have those products, the withdraw symptoms have disappeared, as a can soda has much less caffeine than an extra bold coffee that I used to need every day.
