  1. Even in a straight up system with no fraud they are still cheating because they've imported their base from 1965 hart-celer act.

So from that perspective you don't have to respect a victory for Hillary.

If a large number of people came to China over 50 years and voted to disposes the Chinese people of a country and change their culture and society to benefit non-Chinese and harm Chinese, they would be rightfully outraged.

    No difference for American people.

  2. Thanks for the education etwa

I heard a recent Tom Woods show on the subject, but they didn't get into quite the same detail.

It's especially interesting how quickly Milosevic turned around decades of indoctrination with a few weeks of nationalist propaganda.

I think if the left didn't have such complete control of the propaganda levers their power would wane so quickly and they know it.

I wonder if there's any solution that doesn't involve lots of people dying. On the Muslim side you have Isis killing people and in Europe the slow bleed of rape murder and terrorism. On the Christian/European side you have media suppression that likely won't even end when there's fighting in the streets...

If there was an honest discussion, you might see a solution that minimizes violence and loss of life. I don't see that happening, especially with the US acting as the enforcement wing of the media and suppressing nationalist interests of Europeans until the Muslim invasion is complete.

The only end I see is many bloody and lengthy wars to retake European countries over the next 20 years. And all of these movements will be branded as Nazi and "literally Hitler"

  3. The Nuremberg Trials: Theonomy Condemned

    http://faithandheritage.com/2016/08/the-nuremberg-trials-theonomy-condemned/

Excellent article. Many additional resources cited.

Not entirely specific to the article you posted, but of course they were a farce. They prosecuted Nazis for crimes that the allies committed in similar or greater measures.

The allies conduct (even excluding the ussr) was reprehensible in many ways during and after the war.

Any pretense of "justice" being served in Nuremberg is really quite laughable. Justice would have included many allied commanders hanging with the nazis.

  4. There seem to be three variations on Jewish political views in America.

Lefty communists that push multiculturalism and globalism sometimes not 100% pro-Israel. I.e. Paul Krugman

Right wing: former communists who are really interested in security of Israel and globalism. I.e. Bill Kristol and other neocons.

Libertarians: anti-communists who are really interested in the safety of Israel and global free trade and movement. I.e. Ayn Rand.

Did I miss anything? I don't think any of those categories are pro-Trump because he's explicitly anti-globalism, America first, and not communist.

  5. An counter that comes to mind is that Hitler had an explicit political philosophy that he wrote a book about and trump is a smart guy who saw a lot of problems with his country and thinks he can step in and do some good.

I read his book and I don't really know what Trumps philosophy is.

  6. An interesting point for you to consider is that early in the 20th century japan sent diplomatic fact-finding missions around the world to gain knowledge about the freedom and economic productivity of the west, and that was one of the reasons that Japan was able to launch a serious war effort in WWII, and later to be a tech/innovation powerhouse.

That's a lot of unknown unknowns in that question.

First we don't know what lead to the events which allowed the west to build rockets that could fly a person to the moon. It had something to do with freedom, culture, IQ and technological development; the actual causation is hard to really nail down.

Second, we don't know why china was moribund for two thousand years and when if ever they would have escaped it without western influence. (Also if you want to be pedantic I'm sure that given enough time something would happen, but there's no reason to suspect it would have been in the 20th or 21st century

You might also ask the question of whether the industrial revolution could have happened in Ancient Greece. The short answer is "no", and the longer answer is "probably a better chance of that than of China developing space travel"

  7. Murphy Brown around 1990 - a career woman.

My deeper point is if you convince women to be traditional wives and mothers, especially having many children, then they must be dependent on men as they aren't earning income and children need Fathers too.

What if there's no convincing needed? What if women actually want to be mothers and this single or working mother thing is all just propaganda and necessity? When the burden of the state is gone or diminished then people can afford to have a single income family.

You're forgetting social pressures that would be brought to bear on people behaving in an antisocial way.

Also don't go crazy with the career women that are making lots of money, actual single mothers that could be self sufficient without the state are so rare they aren't worth talking about.

  8. P1-The FDR community is based on reputation.

P2-People with bad reputation or who did horrible things get ostracized.

    P3-I did a horrible thing.

P4-FDR members know each other to the extent that they will tell each other to not engage with me.

C1-I'm gonna get ostricized from the whole community

P5-Generally people who are ostricized by the FDR community are bad people.

    C2-I'm a bad person.

    .

Ok after scanning the whole thread I think this part needs review.

I have been on the board/ in the fdr community for ten years and people do not know each other. A lot of people drop in and out and just assuming that someone shares an interest in philosophy so they must be moral is abdicating your own judgement about these people.

I have met a number of people through fdr, and few of them were people I want to be friends with.

  9. Has he been invited? It's worth a shot one way or another.

I agree, it could be the most interesting interview Stef has done. I feel like Donald would give surprisingly honest answers because he is not worried about the mainstream media.

The likelihood he'd want to talk to an anarchist Canadian podcaster/youtuber are fairly low... And the MSM shitstorm that would follow for FDR would be truly epic and ugly.

But that said I'm all for trying.

  10. Gotta give them credit for protesting in the most concentrated area of white power-holders - a student library where most kids are tens of thousands in debt.....

Except that the people in the library are exactly the people they are targeting, i.e. The smartest and hardest working people that will be the wealthiest and have the most resources to steal. Oh and are likely the least racist and the least helped by "the system" people on campus.

They could have gone to some party where a bunch of white people were drinking and wasting their time in college, but those people are going to be bartenders or baristas or behind bars... Something with bars anyway.

Honestly I'd be surprised if they found any white people in the library, from my time in university I remember it being packed with Asians.

  11. Regarding tatoos and hair coloring; it seems there's pretty wide agreement on that. I'll just throw my own observation on the pile.

an acquaintance of mine has tatoos all over her body and had bright red hair when I first met her.

Since I have been pursuing self knowledge for many years now I was curious to see where this disfunction showed up and through talking with her I have gathered several further indicators. She says her childhood was rough and her dad was "tough", but has a great relationship with her parents. And explaining the tatoos she says that everyone where she's from gets tatoos and spends all their time in the sun getting cancer (except for those nerds in the library who I'm sure no one noticed).

She claims to be into psychology and yet has shitty drunk friends around...

I think it would be easy to look at someone like her and think she was an exception to the tattoos and bright hair = dysfunction rule. She's not overtly dysfunctional, she's friendly and nice enough, but she's erected quite a number of barriers to honesty and self knowledge in her life. If you were my friend and wanted to date her I would warn you away because I like to keep my friends.

  12. Thanks for the questions guys, and J-William good for you. Are there any APPs online yet? You're the kind of person we are looking for.

    ...

J-William, where are you located currently?

I've got an educational app in the apple AppStore. It's basically just the whiteboard games I use in class so that kids can have some fun with it at home.

    I'm currently in Ningbo.

Have you looked into the models for schools like I think it was called Sudburry... Or something. There was one where younger kids would pay older kids to teach them things Stef mentioned it before.

I've been thinking of starting a school for many years and I haven't yet done it, but I am glad I haven't because before I didn't have the work ethic I have now and it would have likely been a failure and unpleasant experience. The idea still interests me and I am interested in models that work and are positive for children.

  13. Hi guys,

My Academy in Shenzhen (Stella's International Learners' Academy) is looking for great partners. One of our teachers just quit (I found out he was at Occupy Wall Street and wanted to organize them, UGH!), as did another (he was a socialist I found out after he started working with us).

So forget teachers. Teachers are too much trouble. They expect to be paid whether they have full (6+ students) classes or not, they've been resistant to change or coaching, saying the schedule is too demanding, or there's too much change, et c. They're pretty entitled, pretty soft, and not very interesting.

So I'm looking for entrepreneurs. Those who are tough, hard-working, compassionate, and WANT to make their fortune doing good work because the opportunity is definitely here.

I hear you on the lazy teachers. Where I work we have a very light schedule and ample free time during the work day. I have been spending that time working on language learning programs/apps, making music for the students and developing and enhancing my skills as a teacher... The other teachers watch tv shows, movies or take naps. Only one other teacher even puts much effort into class prep.

In the past I have put effort into coaching other teachers and showing them techniques I use... And the only time that I've ever seen any traction was with one guy who was on the edge of not having his contract renewed.

So, I doubt it's your intention but your sales pitch comes off a little like you want me to sign up to sell cutco knives. They promise hard work and big rewards and being your own boss... And they have the same contradiction of "be an entrepreneur and work for me!" It's one or the other, you can't have both.

  14. Could it somehow be possible to *only* remove the economic incentives for immigrants to come here but not end up with a creep in charge?

That's the trillion dollar question right there.

If you look at who has been able to reduce welfare I believe Clinton was able to, and republicans in congress may have tried trimming at the edges a little bit. In other countries politicians have met with more or less success...

That said, while Trump doesn't sound all that bad I have my doubts about any ability he will have to do what needs to be done.

  15. I'm deciding on how to handle the rest of my education and the start of a career. Is there anything you wish you would have done, or wish you hadn't? If you were in your late teens or early twenties again, what kind of things would you get involved in? Would you go to college or something else?

Tricky, I did attempt to study programming while in college and even earlier but I wasn't able to concentrate and understand it because I had too much stress and too little self knowledge. Not coincidentally I have been able to learn to program since deFOOing.

So taking a programming degree would have been a waste of time and money, especially since I'm doing it now without having to pay any money.

I can't say I'd change any of what I did because I wouldn't have met my wife then, but I wasted a lot of time in school. I could have left high school a year or two early and I could have taken less time in college, or taken a few years off and worked until I was ready to get the most out of college.

It's hard to say because I'm not unhappy with life, I didn't take on catastrophic debt, but I could be making more money if I had made different decisions.

  16. I have been bullied pretty much my whole life.

When I try to connect with my emotions towards the bullies I sometimes feel ravaging amounts of anger. I start having torturous and murderous fantasies with them...and I feel some kind of relief and a sense of justice.

It feels good to think of them as sadists that are fully aware of the amount of suffering that they caused me...because in this way my murderous anger feels justified.

However...if I were to be more reasonable I would have to stop seeing them as sadists and pretend that they were empathizing with me; because to be fair I don't believe that they were able to empathize with me because if they could they might have never bullied me in the first place.

The problem is...this doesn't make them sadists...and if they are not sadists I feel despair and hopelessness because I don't feel that my anger is proportional to what they would really deserve.

This makes me even more angry...but this is a different kind of anger...it is a kind of anger that is combined with hopelessness, despair and I also have a feeling of being eternally doomed to frustration because of this.

Do you know what makes me even more angry? Trying to empathize with them...because I bet that as children they were abused and hurt a lot and when I am mentally trying to portray scenes of their childhood in which they were being abused...it kills me inside because that would mean that I have to sympathize with my bullies which is absolutely torturous.

I don't know the answer to your dilemma, but I had a similar experience of bullying. Perhaps we can find some common ground.

I remember being bullied from first grade up until eighth grade (it changed significantly around the time my parents decided to move and mostly stopped).

Around eighth grade one of the boys who had been bullying me joined in a school play at the same time as me. I had previously gotten into fights with him at least twice. In art class he had been picking on me and I hit him and another time he was messing with me and as I recall tossing rocks at me on the way back after recess, that time I turned and grabbed him and wanted to punch him but decided against it.

Anyhow he was not very intelligent and was from a lower middle class or poor family, and had a history of behavior problems so that when I fought with him the teachers understood that he had caused it and didn't punish me.

There were other bullies, but I go into detail on this one because later when we were in this play he changed his attitude and became friendly. He mentioned his reasoning for the change one day and it was basically that I wasn't actually the quiet nerdy kid, but actually kinda cool... My part in the play was comedic and I think I made him laugh.

The smarter bullies that I encountered in the gifted program my school had were a good deal more cruel and sadistic. They did not decide that I was cool and stop picking on me, they kept on being cruel and later when we moved I spent my time around lower middle class and poor kids who thought I was cool because I could make them laugh and avoided the more intelligent sadists.

I can in some way empathize with the less intelligent bully since he is more of a product of his environment and doesn't have the same intelligence to understand and control what he is doing.

I have boundless contempt and hatred for the more intelligent kids. I spent much of my high school years contemplating how awful the school system is because it packs kids in with sadistic assholes and they can't leave and in college my fantasy was to make lotsa money and start a gifted school that would kick out bullies.

  17. I should have mentioned that I have TWO podcasts: One in English and one in German, here's the German one:

    http://howihelpmyself.com/alice-miller-audio-deutsch/

    Alice Miller Bot DE:

    https://twitter.com/AliceMillerBotD

Yes, for now I am just reading things posted on her website. But I would like to do discussions and conversations with listeners as well.

If people like it a lot, I might just begin translating.

If I post an article or reader's mail every day, I'll be done in almost three years  So there is lots of content for now. :D

Not to forget that she also has content in Spanish and French.

The podcast is sounding good so far! I didn't realize there was that much on her website.

I think you might be having a problem with your feed, iTunes hasn't been able to download any of the last few episodes (it may be my issue but it was working fine.)
