Guest Paul D Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 It's great to meet you David! I, too, live in the San Francisco bay area, and you're story sounds similar to mine. When I discovered Stefan in 2011 via "The Story of Your Enslavement", I had just graduated high school and was about to join the military, but I had my doubts and ended up not joining, which I look back on and I'm glad I decided not to. And you're right about the immorality of pointing guns at others. That reminds me of a story I read back in middle school titled: "The Wind and the Sun." "THE WIND and the Sun were disputing which was the stronger. Suddenly they saw a traveller coming down the road, and the Sun said: “I see a way to decide our dispute. Whichever of us can cause that traveller to take off his cloak shall be regarded as the stronger You begin.” So the Sun retired behind a cloud, and the Wind began to blow as hard as it could upon the traveller. But the harder he blew the more closely did the traveller wrap his cloak round him, till at last the Wind had to give up in despair. Then the Sun came out and shone in all his glory upon the traveller, who soon found it too hot to walk with his cloak on." Here is the link to that story: http://www.bartleby.com/17/1/60.html Anyways, I understand how difficult the path towards self-knowledge and healing is, and how scary it can be to be put yourself out there, so I really wish you the best of luck in those pursuits and look forward to hearing from you sometime in the future. -Paul.
