  1. Anti Child Abusers =/= Anti Family Anti Rape =/= Anti Sex Anti Assault =/= Anti Physical Contact Anti Murder =/= Anti Human Interaction Anti Theft =/= Anti Exchange/Gifting of Goods I could keep going with the garbage manipulative analogies to justify evil behavior, but I figured this was enough to illustrate the absurdity of the comments and my anger towards them.
  2. This was how the income tax started. Just a temporary, small amount on only the wealthiest people.
  3. I am interested as to what medium this ad will be. In many media, the attention span of the average target is less than a second, so I am just curious how/where this ad will appear.
  4. In relation to this, it is probably healthy for those who are able to to give blood periodically. Our old "blood disposal method" used to be that we would bleed and get cut on fairly regular occasions. We don't really do that much anymore. I am very conflicted about vaccines with kids. I think I would have to go down the list and decide which ones are reasonable and which aren't. Even that makes me uncomfortable, so I am not sure. Lets say its a vaccine that gives guaranteed pain to a child of the pinch and such which can be very difficult for a baby or young child. It seems utilitarian and unprincipled to not do it for a disease that has a .001% occurrence and another that has a .01% occurrence, but then to get the vaccine for a disease that has a .1% occurrence. Not sure how to solve this one. Obviously it would be much, much worse if my child was killed or permanently damaged by my not getting a vaccine. I am not sure what the best method would be if a doctor told me I needed a vaccine, even if the odds of having a problem were very small.
  5. http://www.cnn.com/2013/10/16/us/florida-inmates-mistakenly-freed/ Good thing the government can keeps us safe from murderers. Well, at least private murderers. Well, at least private murderers they don't accidentally release.
  6. It is not arbitrary if you can come up with an objective, logical differentiation between two things. Red hair changes nothing about a human's moral reasoning. Being a rock does. Thus, it is not an arbitrary distinction. The line is only "human" because other species do not understand and use morality like humans do. If another species does, they will join humanity in reasoning.

  8. Freedomain Radio Contact Information However, it is likely that Mike and Stef are busy, so it may take a little time before they can get back to you. I also do not know your question, but it is possible that some people on the board could help you out.
  9. Solution: Donations to get Stef's brain cells implanted into his breasts where they will be economically more efficient!
  10. Unless that thing rises and falls at the same time. Or is a square circle. Or has consciousness without material form. Or is omnipotent and omniscient. Or that living things come from somewhere except for god. Or the most complex thing can exist without evolution. Or basically any logical contradiction of terms or ideas that define existence as impossible in reality.
  11. The way to not get anxious with asking this girl out is to realize that the anxiety does not come from asking her out. It comes from wanting to watch your animal show as a kid when your mom told you that was wrong or the shame your father had with you playing video games (when he wouldn't spend time doing something with you anyway). You need to truly experience the emotions that you could not experience as a child. Preferably with the help of a therapist, though there are ways to journal or have workbooks to process the emotions (I am sure others can provide some recommendations). Emotional processing comes from allowing yourself to feel the emotion in response to the proper cause of the emotion. These memories came up when I asked you about it, so these are at least part of the formation of rejection, helplessness, and shame when you have preferences you want to express. I would start with them, and continue with other memories that come up during the process. Reading Stef's book Real Time Relationships (RTR) and learning how to RTR with yourself can also be incredibly useful in the future.
  12. So let me summarize what you were taught 1. Your preferences are wrong 2. Expressing preferences results in yelling from your mother 3. Your father did not even care about your preferences 4. What you could gather from your father in your limited interactions, your preferences only brought shame It is no wonder that expressing your preferences in a vulnerable way would result in such anxiety with such a terrible history as to what happens to you when your preferences are expressed. I am so sorry that this was your experience.
  13. What happened to you as a child when you expressed your preferences/wants/desires to your parents or older siblings?
  14. Fitch Puts US Credit Rating on Negative Watch http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/fitch-puts-us-credit-rating-negative-watch-20580525 When I invest in my AAA bonds, I always love it when they get downgraded from AAA status 6 months AFTER they might be defaulted on. The idea that Federal bonds are AAA is laughable in itself though..
  15. As I understand it, Stef is very, very character-development centered in his writing. Thus, you can heavily define the characters and the main plot points, but then the characters and their interactions drive the plot. If you are more plot-centered then you have to painstakingly go over the plot and then find characters or actions that can help push the plot in the way you want it to go. This results in very different finished products, but both can be good book in their own right.
  16. Well no. If millions of people have insurance claims for the cost of their homes (plus pain and suffering, or something else) then they will do everything they can for it not to go to war/invasion including bribing a significant sum, requiring homes to have guns (which would make invasion impossible) or even more intense weaponry with proper training. Defense is way, way, way cheaper than offense. A handful of rebels in Afghanistan helped to topple the USSR and are slowly bankrupting the USA as well. Not to mention the cost of lives and medical care after the invasion. DRO Cost/Benefit: Relative low cost of defensive, preventative measures (And you make a profit because you will continue to be paid on claims). Massive cost for losing a territory as you will have to pay out claims and lose all of your customers. Result: You will do anything to not allow invasion. Foreign Nation Cost/Benefit: Gain in a trading partner which makes your country wealthier for non-invasion. Massive cost in lives and money, and nearly 0 chance of invasion success. Result: Invasions will not occur.
  17. I am pretty sure flying cars already exist. You just have to take off and land from your conveniently located airports... I would doubt this one would be any different, at least for several years for the state regulations to catch up.
  18. Article on Spaying and Neutering: http://www.peta.org/issues/companion-animals/spay-neuter.aspx Spaying is not usually painful. Anesthesia during the surgery, pain meds for a day or two after to deal with the discomfort, and then resumption of normal activities. The real issue is the number of cats and dogs who breed in hostile, abusive, or neglected environments who the need to be killed because owners did not spay/neuter their pets.
  19. Dangit! This account spammed too many times that I can't even downvote them all without hitting my cap allowance for the day.
  20. Forgiveness is a crap concept and only valid for little things. Once you get to larger things, then it is about restitution. If I hit you once, and it was an accident, then forgiveness could be sought. If I hit you a few times as punishment, Then it is maybe possible to seek restitution by admitting that I did wrong, trying to be supportive, paying for therapy, and anything else that could possibly be done. If I abuse you for 20 years with a mix of physical, emotional and verbal abuse and neglect then it is impossible to say that restitution is even possible. There is no such thing as a positive obligation that (adult) children have to abusive people. There is no such things as (adult) children having any positive obligations to anyone. None of this has anything to do with the NWO. It is about creating freedom and happiness for himself. He should do whatever he feels like he needs to to achieve that (obviously without continuing the abuse to others, especially children). @@digitallando I am so sorry for what happened to you and what you are continuing to go through. That just sounds terrible.

  23. It is also possible that they just took 20 takes of approximately the same scene and had hidden cameras that could be rotated in plants or in domes where people wouldn't notice (especially with crazy stuff happening there) or they would think that it was a store security camera. I saw panning and zooming, but I did not see a moving camera. What time do you think a camera actually moved? Panning and zooming could happen with professional cameras, layout, and operators to be relatively unnoticed. If they were noticed, they just didn't use that take.
  24. I always am confused by pranks as to whether I should laugh as its in good fun or whether it is mean and sadistic. It can be hard for me to decide at times. I definitely think this one is on the negative side of things. I think if I saw yelling and violence and freaky stuff going on, my first instinct would be fear because I wouldn't know what was going on and I wanted to make sure I didn't get hurt. Pretty soon I think I would realize something weird was going on and that it was fake or something, but at first when I hadn't processed what was happening, I think I would be afraid.
