  1. I am an anarchist, that is what I keep asking, what does it mean for you, in behavioral terms, to 'support' Trump.
  2. Most people are aware that the Vietnam war was a scam, the reasons for the Iraq war were lies, to name a couple, there is no shortage of evidence. They move on and wait for their next favorite king to step up to the throne. the only brainwashing that I am concerned about is the one that makes people imagine they need rulers.
  3. How I will go about getting feedback? I assume you are asking how freedom should be accomplished Koroviev? I don't have answers, I don't know what everyone should do, as long as their behavior is moral, I am not concerned about the outcomes.
  4. At the risk of sounding a bit like a conspiracy theorist, I am concerned that there may be a paradigm shift around the corner and that the voice of freedom will get lost in the battle. Siding with, or 'supporting' the likes of Bill Whittle and Donald Trump in the battle against the left,... The oligarchs are good at this game and have been playing it for centuries. When tensions get high and the cattle need more freedom, they have no problem opening the gates and sacrificing a segment of the ruling class to give the masses more freedom control of their own destinies, let them prosper for a while even. It happens every few generations. There are many more examples of this playing out since as far back as Pharaoh Akhenaten and the rise of mono theism: Rome, when General Vespasian (K) and the Flavian Caesars took control of the Empire from Nero ® and wiped out the enemies and create 'pax romanus'; Constantine who turned the crumbling Roman Empire into the Holy Roman Church, Luther, with the Protestant revolution; the French and American revolutions which saw introduction of democratic politics and the chopping off the royal and religious heads. What segment of the ruling class will be sacrificed this time? The lefty media, the banking elite, the political class? What is never challenged is the 'right to rule', the myth of authority. I would like to get some feedback on this perspective.
  5. So, it is good to 'support' Trump in the hopes that his campaign will result in the discrediting and downfall of left wing media? that will bring us one baby step closer to freedom?
  6. Democracy is an immoral principle. Why is it important to show that government and democracy don't work? Doesn't work for who? It works real good for those benefiting in various ways. Besides, there is plenty of examples to demonstrate that the system is corrupt that have not seemed to change people's desire to put their favorite king on the throne.
  7. I thought that Trump was a hugh source of viewership for media outlets and that having him on their programs and running stories about him increased viewership significantly. Is there evidence that left leaning media sources have been hurt by him and have lost viewership and following?
  8. not afraid, just curious. I know that Stefan is being accused of 'supporting' Trump. I don't know what he thinks about the whole thing actually, except that it is somehow important. I don't understand what 'support' means, political action or participation in the process in some way, voting,... I had a hunch this post from Larken would get the ball rolling. Do you think that even if you believe you know what he advocates what his intentions might be? Or his willingness, or even ability to act on his positions? So 'support' means agreement for you? How does that translate into behavior?
  9. that's funny Graham. I am interested to understand however, what does it mean to 'support Trump'?
  10. I pay very little attention to what comes out of the mouths of the various narcissistic megalomaniacs trying to become Emperor (or President, or whatever). If you know someone is lying, and trying to manipulate and dupe people, who cares what they say? Nonetheless, even just based on the things I've accidentally heard coming from Trump, I am baffled that anyone--especially anyone who claims to value freedom--is dumb enough to support the guy. Aside from being openly authoritarian, mentally unstable and glaringly narcissistic, he has also contradicted himself over and over again, spouting socialist bullshit when it suits him, and pretending to be conservative when it suits him. As a result, if you actually think you know what he believes and advocates, you're an idiot. If you think you know what he would do if given power, you're an even bigger idiot. And if you think he wants to get a hold of the reins of power in order to leave people alone, you're a colossal moron. Of course, Bernie, Hillary, and the rest of the clowns in the circus are just as power-happy and creepy. What's amazing--and discouraging--is how many people who I thought understood the game are now enthusiastically playing the very game that legitimizes their own enslavement. Fear makes people stupid. Stop being afraid. LARKEN ROSE
  11. the author Acharya S does a good job of describing ancient spiritual traditions.
  12. I am wondering if we are in for another massive paradigm shift in western societies. The appearance of someone like Trump on the scene is one of the reasons I suspect it may be imminent. It seems to parallel other historical shifts. The narrative may be changing but I wonder if this is the symptom of a strategy of 'releasing tension' to move us in a different direction. This has happened in history with things like the Reformation, the French Revolution. It seems like when the oligarchs start feeling the heat they set up a situation that allows for the masses to blow off steam and then redirect the pent up frustration. People today are starting to recognize the evil and corruption in the leaders of society and like with the Catholic church of the Renaissance, these things are becoming generally apparent and too hot to handle, so in comes Luther and the Reformation. It is interesting to note that the Reformers claimed that the Holy See was actually the Antichrist power on earth. Never mind for the moment that there is significant evidence that the Venetian oligarchs likely controlled both sides of the conflict, but like the French Revolution, the Reformation resulted in enormous disruption and violence on a grand scale. This worries me. The oligarchs have, since the beginning of civilization, used what I call the 'cross and the sword' to control the masses. You need a narrative, a priest class, a belief system, to get people to go along with all the nasty stuff the ruling class want to do. You always have to appeal to their morality. In these times in the West, the media is the new priest class. I have no interest in Trump or the political process or targeting the 'priest class' (media). The 'alternative media' and the likes of Alex Jones have been doing this for a while now and I think it might be a diversion. I have studied a lot of history and I know that this all sounds a bit conspiratorial, and it is speculation for sure. I am concerned that philosophical minded people will get caught up in the wave of change that is perhaps being set up for us where everything changes, but things stay the same. This is all sort of rambling stream of consciousness stuff and I haven't really thought it through too much but I would like to get some feedback on this. Thoughts?
  13. I wrote that I was curious about the motive for the question, why are you asking? I suspect the answer will get us closer to what it is you really want to talk about.
  14. ahh, now I am starting to see that it was not really a question, like most aren't when people make this type of inquiry. It is also becoming clear why the OP is not responding to the question of why this is important to them.
  15. my guess is that if the caregiver is not capable of making that distinction then there is a serious problem for sure. why does there need to be a definitive answer? You also did not respond to my other question.
  16. I am curious about the motive for this question. we tend to like to think in statist 'legal' terms which would point to 18 yrs old, which is reasonable for most cases. In general I suppose it could be whenever the child is capable of adult responsibilities and productivity. Do you think there needs to be a specific guideline for this?
  17. You have completely missed the point, you should read the article before commenting on it.
  18. Yeah, I think that is a good test.
  19. I think it is pretty cool.
  20. Thanks Donnadogsoth, I think you are right, I am going to get some flack for challenging the empire of political correctness in the art world. Someone had to say it tough. Thanks Bruce , glad it gave you some insight. Yeah, you lost me there in the last paragraph. I would love to hear feedback from your sis.
  21. I have been asked on many occasions to write something like this for all the people that are often baffled by 'modern' art. I am proposing a simple formula to apply to art and artists to help determine if what they are producing is actually good. I would like to get some feedback on this from anyone interested in the topic. It has some Canadian content but the principles are, I hope, universal. I have posted the article on my blog for now. http://davidlangevin.com/davids-blog/
  22. darn, looks like we lost another one,...
  23. Because, like dsayers said, you cannot ethically organize society and you used the term "methods for organizing society". The reason I am stuck on the 'statist paradigm' is because I have had discussions with a couple of people recently and they are stuck on the idea that the government provides services and therefore continue to fret over who would provide them in the absence of the state. People provide services. The government simply makes laws and redistributes money.
  24. Indeed, I cringe when I see this kind of attitude; collectivist, big brother, 'who will take care of stuff if the government goes away', statist paradigm that won't let go. I know people will make out much better and I don't care how things get done as long as there is no coercion.
  25. I think the arguments have hit the wall that Ancap has constructed around this topic and there is just a lot of repeating going on now. For myself, I have learned much and appreciate the input from dsyaers and thebeardslastcall. Time to move on. cheers.
