It's a bit ridiculous to think humans are the only animals that have to use a specialized brush and Crest™ to prevent their teeth from falling out. With many animals you can determine their health - which is mainly due to diet - by looking at their teeth or coat. When my wife was pregnant with our first she went to the dentist with her teeth hurting and came home crying, she was given the diagnosis of pre-periodontal disease. She would need life long dental work, every 6 months of painful gum scrapings, or all of her teeth would surely fall out. After a few minutes of research I learned half of US adults are in the same category. Is the assistance you receive when you are a child somehow make you indebted to others, do you owe your parents for all of the food they bought for you as children? "But they fed me, I have to repay them..." If I steal your identity and purchase a house, are you required to pay for it? Of course you can live in a room of it if you wish, but according to government you are responsible for the mortgage... My point is, you cannot be morally obligated to a debt you were never consulted with or agreed to. Just like if someone were to steal your ID and purchase something on credit, you are not morally obligated for that debt. Do you think perhaps your relationship has turned into a bit of a win-lose scenario (or maybe has always been that way)? Sometimes the mindset develops in such a way where if one considers the other as winning, then they have to be the loser, and it can never be win-win for either party. I am blessed and cursed, where as with my spouse she will easily conform to what I think is best. Once I came to the realization that peaceful parenting was the only option (luckily before our first child) she was relieved as she said she never wanted to hit our children, as we were both raised with "spanking" being the only option. The relief being she will easily conform to my opinion, the curse being she easily conforms to my opinion, I suppose if you can't have someone that is a strong self thinker, have that person be exposed to someone that is, and hopefully a good outcome will follow.

Yes, it is technically illegal to not register for the draft. Will anything bad happen if you refuse to do so? Probably not. If you need assistance from the state, you will need to comply to the demands, pretty simple. Registering for the draft is not joining the military, and if for some reason a draft was instituted I think the time to decide to not comply would be when actually being drafted, and the registration being less important. I was told at 18 I had to register, and not knowing better I did. That does not mean I will *ever* be in the military, regardless of the situation. I have not looked into the topic in depth, but it's hard to believe there aren't other options in achieving what you're trying to do without using the state. You obviously have the internet, maybe that would be a good place to start.

Congratulations on reaching the logical conclusion. You would be surprised, or perhaps maybe not, how many people never do. I'm not real sure about the staying at peace question, maybe it's the same type of peace many people make when they realize they are dying (sooner rather than later) and it's something they just accept. Say we elected Ron Paul type characters for the next 100 years, would the state be measurably smaller? Would we be more free? The president is not the king, a lot of people treat them like they are ... "Obama did this to me!" ... the president can veto, which makes passing new regulation harder, but it can still be bypassed. The possibility of Trump being elected is extremely small, regardless of how well he appears to be doing. The general population does not vote for the president, the electorates do, some states they are legally bound to follow the majority vote but laws mean nothing... Assuming when you cast your untraceable vote into the voting machine it even counts it. Say somehow he did become elected, just like Ron Paul in congress, other than perhaps exposing lies and helping people wake up, he would be largely ineffective. Was Ron Paul able to stem the growth of the state? If through a huge error he was able to somehow become elected, and somehow try and make a significant change, he would be impeached, threatened or eliminated. I believe the only significant change will happen after it collapses from its own massive weight. The political process will not help, I'm afraid.

On a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero. I think this is fitting to include countries and currencies as well. When? At this point no one knows. I understand what you're saying, I put the earth into CAD, drew a straight line and you're correct in the middle the difference is almost a mile. The problem is they wouldn't have bored a straight line, they would have dug 75' deep the entire 125 miles, which would be following the curve of the earth. Then assuming gravity pulls everything to the middle of the earth, the water would flow into it fine at 75' deep, the water does not stay truly level, it follows the circumference of the earth. The line is 125 miles long straight across. As you can see the water would follow the earth, imagine land being at start and end of the line, you would just dig down 75 following the curve, and the water would flow in and stay there.

Hey JP, I heard that podcast too, and I was quite interested because I had seen some of the flat earth stuff previous to that, and at first glance I was sure it was just a parody website, but after the call I did about 3 hours worth of research, and no... a lot of people truly believe it. And a lot of the true believers were using it to prove their faith. There is a few fundamental problems that has yet to be explained. If the earth is shaped like a dinner plate, the north pole being the middle and Antarctica being the ice wall / ring on the perimeter, using the FE theory of light not traveling forever and that's why there is day/night on different sides of the plate, it would be impossible for Antarctica to ever have an Arctic summer (24 or near 24 hours of daylight). All of the articles I read and different explanations from people, explained a lot of things, and do you know what the explanation for that one was? Antarctica doesn't have an Arctic summer, it never has continual daylight and everyone that says it does is lying. And this comes up a lot in the FE theory. Literally thousands and thousands of people, all lying or they were deceived and weren't really in Antarctica. The web cams in Antarctica? Faked. Anything from anyone, stating observations or showing empirical evidence against the FE theory is in on the hoax, lying or deceived. How do you think it will change a child's perception and understanding growing up on a farm, seeing animals hump on a semi regularly basis? When a bull is doing the business, there isn't much guessing to be had at what's going on... Maybe that's a good way to teach children in a less graphic age when they're younger? Animal anatomy. I think perhaps it can be traumatizing and so awkward for children because that's how all of the adults around them treat it.

I was homeschooled my entire childhood, I can emphatically say most of it was a waste of time. Much beyond the basics to an uninterested student, it is all memorized, regurgitated then forgotten. I've looked into the trivium concept of learning, I plan on researching it more as my daughter gets closer to "school" age. My goal with her is to find what she is interested in and then learn all of the details of whatever it may be, and how it might work, which will lead to other avenues of interest and continued learning.
