  1. Thats awesome and the future thanks you
  2. Abuse? Aren't you the sad victim here Mr Sweathog. What exactly triggered you? You mentioned you only "slapped" your kids 3-4 times so were you exhausted all the rest of the times you restrained yourself and practiced peaceful parenting? It wasn't so bad eh?
  3. Milo would be incredible. Ben Shapiro would be awesome to hear a little counter trump. Dave Rubin would be a great chat and has a good studio for the visual folks and would bring the message of Voluntarism to a lot of new folks who may be ready. I'd pay good money(not sure what that means) to hear any of those guys and stef.
  4. Wow this guy is great. Thx
  5. There's more to gain from less work for those who manipulate and threaten, so why would they be attracted to philosophy? Dumb that down for me shirgall. I dont quite follow. More to gain from less work?
  6. I loved it as well. Im going to guess the market thinks differently. Love the political stuff too. You guys are fucking awesome. Keep killin em!
  7. Im with you. I've heard anarcho-communist before which seems like a square circle to me. Even an-cap confuses me because they advocate for the state to some degree in that they need a military if I'm correct? Whatever...the nitpickyness of some of the labeling can kind of turn me off and leave me uninterested to some degree. We are born anarchists and total freedom(in all aspects of life) is our destiny and worth fighting for. I'm content with the unknown and would rather let principles guide the way. I can explain all of that to my toddlers. Call it ancapalapadingdong and thats what I'll be.
  8. Daniel you said Porn twice in your picture. Greta ideas and great posts. There's so many.
  9. It's wild how people don't ask why things get this way with government run programs. Could it be the force? Why are people so surprised? Strike the root! There would be nothing wrong with being "all about the money" in a free market of education. Every business is basically "all about the money". Why would these guys be any different. Thats what's so sad. People will here that and everything else like that and say "we gotta reform it". Take the money out of education! Whatever that would mean. Just being anti-money(the root of all evil) means you're right.
  10. When Jon Stewart asked Peter Schiff about the minimum wage law and if jobs should exist for $3/hour Peter said sure. Jon Stewart asks who would do those type jobs and Peter says "maybe retarded people''? Which people were appalled at the answer but growing up I knew quite a few locals who were retarded guys who worked in my area. Grocery bagger, ymca maintenance guy, et. Everyone loved these guys and those guys felt valued by there emolyer. They seemed super happy. Sorry if this seemed off topic its just funny/f'd up how offended people get when you give them a perfectly good answer. Forcing the employer to pay them more resulting in them not having a job at all would be a much better approach in their eyes I assume.
  11. The collapse in the value of a nations currency would come from trillions dollars being pumped into the system. I see plenty of economic uncertainty and we don't have a whole lot of hoarding of money until recently that I knew of. Why would a good store of value be in the dollar? Short term yea maybe but long term? We have plenty of inflation. Food prices, home prices, stock prices, etc. There's not as much inflation as one would think but doesn't that have something to do with the fed paying the banks a small percentage for holding onto the money that the fed gave them? That's wierd. There's a good argument for our currency holding strong for a little while but that doesn't seem to be what a government drowning in debt would want to do for too long. What do I know. Strap up and get a garden.
  12. I can see what he's saying about rising prices in commodities and tangible assets if the we lose faith in the dollar. Schiffs argument is that is where we are right now. This guy just thinks they'll be a reset and all will be good so long as we have faith in the government? He makes a claim that people would think you're crazy if you asked them "will the government go bankrupt?". I agree most people would think that's not a possibility. Until it happens. Then what? And he makes a good point in a shit hit the fan scenario about gold not mattering cause it'll be a madmax situation. Peter is more so thinking people will lose their service sector jobs and the fact that we don't produce much of anything anymore won't help things out. We won't be able to afford housing so housing comes down etc. PM being the only thing we turn to. All in all I thought that was good stuff. I sure as shit couldn't debate the guy. I always find myself feeling really vulnerable during economic discussions. That belief in authority kicks in. I feel helpless and can't fully understand what's going on but can pick up bits and pieces of things that seem correct. I've been a successful business owner for 15 years and I can't get it so imagine how so much of the world feels about it. Especially if you don't have any assets and live paycheck to paycheck. The why bother mindset takes over. All this confusion leads me to feeling extremely pissed off about my public and private school education.
  13. I think severely retarded people are atheists as well. Maybe atheists aren't even fully human? Wouldn't it be great to be enlightened on an unexplainable level like mantis. Yku may be onto something when saying it's an emotional argument. It's all emotions. Then he throws out the ole "childhood trauma" reasoning because he knows this crowd I guess. Trolling at its finest. Does it matter which God mantis? Like Mohammed, Jesus, Dionysus, batman, etc? Or do you guys just "get it" no matter what you believe? I know you think atheists are trying to take away your invisible friend but we are just wanting to point at that the friend doesn't exist so we can get to reality, pursue the truth and from there a relationship could possibly be built.
  14. I like it. The difference is in the testable existence of the glass right? No one would deny the glass exists. They would just say it does or doesn't have water. That's testable. God isn't. Im an atheist as well and would love to work on my arguments and sharpen my tools a little but I don't think this talks anyone out of anything. To another atheist like myself it seems like a good analogy because it is so similar to us. To someone who believes in a soul, another dimension, supernatural history lessons, etc maybe not. I still like it I'm just trying to put myself in the other position's shoes.
  15. I think it would be great to meet some of you creeps face to face! Let's do it.
  16. Anuojat, Im in the same situation. Mom is super religious and dad has basically come out as an atheist to me but she doesn't know. So sad she can't connect and communicate with her own husband about this stuff. I wasn't hit much(5x or so)) but the threats from an almighty God was enough. Thats what kills me. It damaged my brain and is still and will be forever healing from that crap. Except my folks live down the road. If they were pure evil it would make it so much easier. I'm happiest when I'm not thinking about them. We've had conversations that go nowhere. Nobody in the family talks to me about it. They all just text me "mom is so sad you have to go talk to her". Anyways sorry if I'm stealing your post but just wanted share a similar story. I'd be interested in chatting(PM, Skype, phone, etc).
  17. I refuse to believe that debate video is real. If so thats more depressing than the 19 trillion debt hole.
  18. Have you seen Robin Hood the Disney version? That same story/plot/dialouge but with people. The whole movie is about how mean ole king johns taxation is killing the poor. They even mention the word taxation. Like 10x. Every time it's mentioned its in a very negative way. Robin Hood does have one line in the movie about how they are robbing from the rich to give to the poor but of course the only person he robs is the evil king who is stealing from the production of the poor. He's obviously just getting the people their money back. Anyways that exact same movie but without animals and with humans. Then the ones with humans always involve more magic. So it's magic with humans or no magic with talking bears.
  19. Don't know who simon pegg is but I'll look it up. And the infantilzation isn't exactly what I'm talking about but that makes sense. I'm more so wondering if kids shows could talk about ethics, reality, society, the world, etc without the mystical stuff so that they may better understand reality. Or without using talking animals. I think it's great to have an imagination. But should we start out with reality first. Mastering that by using whatever show/movie etc helps you do that. Then the other stuff. Is it really that important? I dunno. That's what I'm wanting to know. If it stops a tiny little brain from better understanding reality then yea I guess it is important. Just something I think about while watching movies with my kids.
