  1. Can you please define "public accommodation"?
  2. Whether you vote or not, the outcome of the election will be unchanged. There is no moral dilemma when the action has no effect. It isn't as if your vote accidentally doesn't affect the election; it fails to do so by design. You cast a tie-breaking vote in an election that does not produce ties.
  3. How does this desensitize men to words? In order to take part in this "insult" behavior in the first place, the men must be comfortable insulting each other and are already desensitized. In reality, people can be assholes, and if someone "playfully" insults you, tell them to talk to you with respect or go fuck themselves.
  4. To summarize Schiff's position: Trump is still government. Anything he does will ultimately be another government intervention with typical backfiring.
  5. Facebook group claimed the shooting, though it's all tabloid at this point. https://www.rt.com/usa/350178-dallas-black-power-claim/
  6. The privileges explained by the "whiteness" presenter are all anecdotal.
  7. Stefan is an atheist. His podcast about atheism deals with secondary beliefs of atheism (statism), and does not argue for the existence of a god. Could you mean memetic? As coined by Richard Dawkins in the Selfish Gene?
  8. Humans evolve, too. Why is race so controversial among people who accept the theory of evolution? Humans live across the globe and have different environmental pressures. They adapt just as other species do.
  9. A fetus is not a person. Until it becomes a separate moral actor, it is the woman's property. Collecting a debt is not immoral. However, since the fetus is not a moral actor, it cannot be owed a debt.
  10. You are fallaciously assuming every apathetic nonvoter is in favor of smaller government.
  11. What gives you the impression that a single cast vote will affect the election?
  12. Why did your workmate defend her if most of the office did not like her?
  13. We can only trust your perspective in this anecdote. Maybe she was joking, but the comments she made were threatening to you. The best course of action would be to discuss it with HR so there is documentation of these behaviors.
  14. I found my computer in a dumpster, therefore your argument is invalid.
  15. You are claiming that medical technology can make the physical differences between an adult man and an adult woman trivial. This is unfounded.
  16. Perhaps you could link some of those videos and "enlighten" us
  17. I agree that taking money back in the form of state programs is not immoral. If it were possible to give excess benefits back to more heavily taxed citizens, that would be even better. However, income tax is the real issue. We are only discussing the symptoms of a problem.
  18. Concepts don't exist in physical reality, but are descriptions of physically real things. For example, you can have 9 oranges, but you cannot hold the number nine. A related idea would be Plato's Theory of Forms
  19. I deleted my facebook years ago for this exact reason. Some employers even demand login info. No way, Jose.
  20. Once the woman is pregnant, no one can make her do anything. She owns her body and whatever grows inside it. The real issue is one of child support, which is state initiation of force and therefore immoral under NAP.
  21. 'Universally Preferable Behavior' describes a pragmatic morality based on the non-initiation of force. In short, by accepting that reality is objective and that truth can be arrived at through debate, we accept debate as the preferable path to truth. I have always found NAP itself quite simple; I wonder what you find difficult to classify morally?
  22. From her response: They asked her to prove racism/sexism exist and she succeeded. https://www.thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2016/04/10/i-was-vilified-for-telling-the-truth-about-racism-in-toronto.html https://archive.is/OusR4
  23. I don't mean to be obtuse, but in high school my physics teacher told me that 3D sound was just "playing with volume". Is this too simplistic?
  24. The information on a hard drive only 'makes a picture' because it can be decoded by something else. The video card interprets this data into a virtual image; an optical illusion. It is an optical illusion in the same way that a physical photograph is an optical illusion. The medium exists, but the information stored there is just information. It has no connection to current physical reality. The people in a photo are no more real than the characters of a comic book. How can we prove the existence of something external by looking at the data structures in our brains?
