You are jealous because you are insecure. When you imagine her fucking other guys in your head, you are essentially "worrying" that these past experiences will affect your current relationship. Memories and imaginings of past events are still present thought processes. In other words, you are making believe that she's cheating on you; you feel betrayed. Much of the negative feelings you have are tied up in this illusion.

No Such Thing As Marital Rape
ValueOfBrevity replied to Will Torbald's topic in Men's Issues, Feminism and Gender
I have an important question. Does this include anal? Since no one will bite, I will explain. If anal is assured by marriage, why can't the woman sodomize the man at will? -
Please describe these fallacies and cite where Stephan makes them. And just to be clear, meanness is not a fallacy.

Eventually it would. Small governments always grow. "Even if we did achieve what we wanted with a very small state, we'd just be resetting the clock back to 1776 and it would roll forward in exactly the same way again...the only way to break the cycle is not to lower the dimmer switch but, you know, push it and turn off the light."

As long as you are honest about your intended duration at that workplace, I don't see why it is immoral to specify only relevant work information. If you have a degree in biology, you don't necessarily put that on hotel maid application.

Was Bernie Sanders really poised to do better than Hillary? I have doubts that the democratic party would throw away the election in this way.

OP is stating that people are better off seeing a therapist rather than self-therapy alone. If someone were in fact better off with self therapy, then a therapist could have negative effects. I fully understand that OP is encouraging people to seek therapy; she is doing so under the assumption that seeking therapy is beneficial. If it were not beneficial, she would not encourage it. "Don't refrain from seeking therapy because therapists can do things for you that you cannot do for yourself or through conversations with friends in family." This is the summation of her claim, and I don't see evidence to support it.
-
Could therapy produce negative effects? I don't see where this was addressed in post #14. Consider if the doctor in OP's example had gone to another doctor and been misdiagnosed as having gained weight. There is another assumption that this outside perspective is beneficial, when it could have produced the same outcome.

How should I let go of the anger I have toward my parents?

Do you masturbate a lot? Excessive masturbation can inflame the prostate and cause intermittent urinary issues. -
There is an assumption that therapy is always beneficial. The conclusion is contained in the premise. In other words, OP is begging the question.

"Homosexuality and Pedophilia" Slippery slope arguement?
ValueOfBrevity replied to Rummycat's topic in Atheism and Religion
Sex with children does not follow from sex with consenting adults. The "slippery slope" is actually a non-sequitur.- 16 replies

Circumcision- Consent and Coercion
ValueOfBrevity replied to availuu89's topic in Men's Issues, Feminism and Gender
What about the consent of the person getting their genitals mutilated? My observation is that people do not rely on solid moral principles for their decisions. Instead, they see how they "feel" about it. Circumcision is socially accepted, so they don't "feel" immoral in accepting it.- 5 replies

It is a syllogism from the definitions. Admitting what we cannot know is important. If something meeting the definition of supernatural did exist, how could you measure its consistency when it is inconsistent with reality?
-
The property is not specific. It is part of the definition of a god that it has qualities which are not possible within our reality. By reality, I mean the universe and the physical laws by which it operates. In the context of agnosticism, we can not know something which is supernatural because the effects would be inconsistent and the causes immeasurable.
-
A god has such a property by definition. I am not arguing that such properties exist. You stated: "Naturally, anything outside of the category of reality is not real. " By your definition, something which does not conform to our reality does not exist.
-
A god has some property that is not derived from the laws of our universe. A god breaks or ignores the "rules" of our existence. If something like a god did exist, we would not necessarily be able to know about it because we could not measure magic. To say that nothing can be outside of nature is begging the question.
-
Outside reality as we know it. If there exists an entity which supersedes all laws of our reality (god), the knowledge about that entity is not obtainable by definition. Let me clarify that I am not arguing for the existence of such an entity; nearly explaining the definition of agnosticism. Thomas Huxley explained it this way: "In matters of the intellect, follow your reason as far as it will take you, without regard to any other consideration. And negatively: In matters of the intellect do not pretend that conclusions are certain which are not demonstrated or demonstrable."
-
Agnosticism is the position that god is not provable. Knowledge of the super natural is not considered obtainable. It has nothing to do with whether one believes god exists or not. Honestly, it's silly not to be agnostic. If something were outside the realm of reality as we know it, how then could we verify it?

Clinton Cash made the mistake of trying to affect the narrative with music and editing. If everything in Clinton Cash is true, then it stands on its own. The dramatic music and editing make this documentary look like typical propaganda.

If you are not in a loving relationship with your flat mate, then you will probably never change her behavior. I recommend seeking a new place to live while neglecting your chores at home
