Apparently there is a subsection of youtube videos dedicated to showing showing suffering children, torturing their idols (Elsa, Spiderman) and other enraging topics. I had no idea these videos existed until now. For some reason, those videos don't get flagged and have no problems with monetisation. I have to go back a long until I find something that made me that angry.

How much does it matter if somebody understands ethics? The outcome of actions matters, not the intent.

This is simply wrong. When things get automated or when production gets moved to the third world, things don't get cheaper. Nike, Adidas, and Apple haven't become cheaper for the consumer when they outsourced the production, the profit margin for the company has gone up. The costs of labour for a mass product is about 10%. If Apple wanted to produce the I phone in the US, the price for making an Iphone would rise from say $100 to $120.

Learn from Ragnar. Declare a war, kick the invaders out, take their women as warbrides, and introduce White Sharia.

Curbing the use of force by the General Government

That train has long left the station. Reforming the state, making it more libertarian with the goal of abolishing it altogether isn't an option any more. The best we can do is to prevent a South African / Brazilian situation and the destruction of White Culture on earth. -
It started right away with philosophy. Right from the start, many had to be face persecution so they wrote in metaphors or in an unintelligible way. Their students and anyone intersted in thinking then got the esoteric meaning.

Does debt matter? Will debt ever matter?
ofd replied to Angrywoodchucksblog's topic in General Messages
Private debt matters a lot. Over time, after a major crash, investments eventually become worth more and more. This leads to speculation with money, until the cash flow generated with the investment can't cover the payments for debt and you have a collapse. The difference between private debt and government debt is that the fractional reserve money create fiat money out of thin air. Money is only created when there is a new obligation, paying it back doesn't create additional money. Government debt however is like a scale. The government's debt is an asset for somebody else. -
White Sharia started as a joke, but everyday I see more and more need for it.

Oh, it does. The uncertainty principle is quite precise. I don't think that our different perspectives can be brought together. Hence, I say good bye to this thread and thank the participants.

Sure. But not every determined event is computable. You don't have to be able to compute something to tel if it's determined or not. My understanding is that QM is deterministic but has random elements. The wavefunction is determined, but when it collapses a state is chosen at random.
-
Determinism simply says that antecedent states together with the laws of nature determine the outcome. So for chaotic phenomena you have to show that there are supernatural events taking place or that the same antecedent states lead to a different outcome. Neurons only fire when there is activation potential. Larger arrays of neurons only react to specific impulses. Their degree of freedom is limited. I have yet to see one guy explain to me, how there can be an emergent phenomenon of free under those conditions.

I remember that there was an early podcast (women's counsil) that dealt with body image issues.

Objectivisim was outdated with regards to knowledge and justification when Ayn Rand came up with it and it has remained so ever since. There are only two factions, the Bayesians and the people following Popper when it comes to the scientific method and epistemology.

Well then you run into a whole bunch of problems. The most important is how do you justify your true beliefs? If you observe natural phenomena you can't use deduction. Then there is the problem of induction. With abduction you have the problem of induction in addition to a weak version of deduction (you don't know if the general rule is correct).

What do you call the fact that some 'deterministic' animals have a (implicit) knowledge of physical laws, without having the abstract knowledge of those laws?

Pornography and the First Amendment

There are two sides to a kosher sandwich. No matter if left or right (or libertarian), jewish led groups that teach those positions have the same structure and intend the same outcome. There is a rabbi at the top (Alisa Rosenbaum / Sigmund Freud), whose scriptures are studied like the word of god, who cannot be critisized. Every detail of every day life is prescribed to you. Dissidents will be punished harshly and be pushed out (Nathaniel Branden / CG Jung). The goals are very similar too, weakening the society by attacking institutions that stabilize it and let it progress (marriage, traditional role models, relation between children and parents). -
The Deadline for Civilization Collapse: November 3rd, 2020

No it wasn't. The first National Socialist movement was a Czech one, in the Habsburg Empire. They had the majority of the seats for the Czech faction. Depends on the perspective. It served some interests to have a broke, degenerate society. Enlightenment is no value in itself. If rational self interest leads to atomisation of a society, it has to be cut back. You are begging the question by saying the enlightenment was rational.- 27 replies

If you are a member of a church, you pay the tax. If you are not, you don't pay the tax.

That's not reflected in the numbers. Compared to previous years, the rate of inflation has gone down. The increase in money printing did not lead to inflation. http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/consumer-price-index-and-annual-percent-changes-from-1913-to-2008/ If you keep money in your matrace, then yes. If you invest it, then not so much.- 27 replies

There are two steps to fixing a dysfunctional / problematic behaviour. They don't come out of the blue, rather they are adaptations to a previous enviroment. The survival impulse makes us to adapt to an enviroment, once that enviroment changes the adaption can become malfunctional. The 'weirdness' you identify yourself with can be just that.
