Today is The (UN's) International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, June 4. All violence and abuse cause outrage, horror and condemnation of abuser, and sympathy for the victims, especially if children are involved. There was abuse, violence and neglect before, but this problem was less discussed. 'Beating' children was and sadly in majority still is considered as 'educational method', which it of course is not. The problems of physical, emotional and sexual abuse, are often hidden and kept secret. This is one more opportunity to spread non-violent, peaceful, philosophical parenting. Please share it in any way possible. These are some resources for information I have, please fill in some more: http://www.freedomainradio.com/ http://www.unpluggedmom.com/ https://www.facebook.com/PPAAlife https://www.facebook.com/NonviolentParenting https://www.facebook.com/peacefulparenting http://www.peaceful-parent.com/ http://peacefulparenting.com.au/ http://www.naturalchild.org/ https://www.khanacademy.org/

Author (Kathleen Taylor, Oxford) claims people 'radicalised by cult behaviours' could being treated as mental health sufferers. Techniques that would help curb this are already in the process of development. These could also be used to stop parents hitting children . 'I am not just talking about the obvious candidates like radical Islam or some of the more extreme cults. 'I am talking about things like the belief that it is OK to beat your children. "These beliefs are very harmful but are not normally categorized as mental illness.' http://capitalismisfreedom.com/religious-extremism-violent-behavior-is-a-mental-health-issue-that-could-be-cured/#.UajY-tJmgzl

"This Is What Winning Looks Like" A disturbing new documentary about the ineptitude, drug abuse, sexual misconduct, and corruption of the Afghan security forces as well as the reduced role of US Marines. In part one, we see just how chaotic and hopeless the situation is in Sangin, one of the most violent towns in Afghanistan. Congratulations on that. Commendable journey indeed. What I would propose, if you're interested, is to write down your journey, feelings and things that helped you or were decisive for you. I heard in a recent podcast, that people can not remember anymore what it was like to be an statist and have some difficulty to empathize. Same is with me... Once again, congratulations, good luck and all the best.

I admire you courage and positiveness. Wish you all the best and I really really hope you and your family go through this as well as possible. Love you.

Ha ha ha, that might be completely true

Maybe we could contact him, I have already applauded him for this post - - Kevin Spacey 'Do not train children to learn by force and harshness, but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each' - Plato

Just a side-notice, what just happened to precious metals!? Because Goldman Sachs forecasts??

Well let us hope that that is the case I will go with Arius's suggestion. I have read something about ASIC and mining difficulty... I'm just curious, since you seem to be well informed, do you know whats up with those 6mil BC mined by early comers? I've also read that 1mil BC is in 250 wallets.. how did they act in last few days?
-
OK, thanks for that info. I was hoping for the same. As I see it, elsewhere price dropped even to 55$ or so, will see what happens I had left order for 38,7€ which is around 50$.

Mt.Gox - "First of all we would like to reassure you but no we were not last night victim of a DDoS but instead victim of our own success! Indeed the rather astonishing amount of new account opened in the last few days added to the existing one plus the number of trade made a huge impact on the overall system that started to lag. As expected in such situation people started to panic, started to sell Bitcoin in mass (Panic Sale) resulting in an increase of trade that ultimately froze the trade engine!..."

Yea, it is kinda funnny. I am still up like 1200% in the past few months. The recent media attention did bring in a lot of new adopters and speculators driving up the price very quickly. The fact that it gets ahead of itself and pulls back to a still very high price is funny. If it gets too low, I would have to invest more money into bitcoin. am also think something like that. I'm intrigued, what is for you low or "too low" price!?

[manic] I know a lot of people here have BC, or at least talk about BC so I wanted to inform you. It does not look like a pyramid scheme to me, but hey, how am I to talk. A correction is natural, healthy and expected. It does not hurt to have a few BC.
