  1. It's not obvious to me that you would go on to ask that question. There's a lot wrapped up in the statement "states can borrow money as much as they want", the key ingredient being "the initiation of the use of force by the state is moral". In other words, "I'm okay with you being shot for disagreeing with me". Why did you ignore that and instead choose to move the discussion towards how the state behaves with stolen money? If discussion with this fellow makes you unhappy, why do you continue?
  2. How about Male Guest: 'My wife said when we got married that we'd have sex at least weekly, but now she won't. Should I take what was promised to me?' Male Host: *laugh* 'Well, I'm not telling you to do it, but ...'

  5. Whoops, I had a brain fart. I knew Stef gave a speech at a recent Bitcoin conference, but I forgot that Texas was the one that was over a month ago. Since the speech is not yet on his channel, I thought I was getting an early release, but I was wrong. I hope to soon see and share his most recent speech at the Toronto Bitcoin Expo. In the mean time, I have edited the OP to at least have the video from Stef's channel, rather than a third party upload.

"Riding dirty" refers to violating any given law while driving, most commonly for having something illegal in the car like drugs or weapons. The song talks about how police target the black community, pull them over with no reasonable suspicion other than being black, try to find a law that they have broken so that the cops have an excuse to rough them up and assert their dominance. If they cops don't find any excuse, they get mad. There are scenes in the music video where a hulking man (obviously spends lots of time in the gym preparing for this) is in a wrestling ring, putting the hurt on his opponent and pinning them to the mat. The scene then morphs to the hulking man being the cop and the pinned person being a black man, likely with some marijuana in his pocket. It shows that cops see it as a game of fighting and physical dominance - nothing to do with "protect and serve" - while the blacks just want to be left alone.
  9. "Allowed"? Should X be "allowed"? What kind of perspective begins with the assumption that all is unallowed unless granted permission? Who is granting permission? What is their authority?

  14. I'm a driving nut, but I've found that even people who aren't driving nuts enjoy the game 1nsane. It is between $10 and free, depending on where you look. It is great for LAN with 2 PCs and needs only keyboards. It has capture the flag, king of the hill, and other non-race game types.
  15. I was summoned to jury duty and in the paperwork, there was a box to write comments. I can't recall exactly what is was for, maybe for opposition on religious grounds. I wrote in there that I oppose jury duty on moral grounds. Not in detail, just something like "I oppose jury duty on moral grounds". I received a postcard shortly thereafter that said I was excused.
