  1. http://www.infowars.com/congressmen-introduce-bills-to-legalize-and-tax-marijuana/ Will it pass? o.O
  2. Rationally self-interested maybe? Edit: nvm an immoral person could easily be rationally self-interested
  3. I beg to differ to some degree, the women in pornography are actors and in the films they create they are acting, what's going on on screen is a mock-up. There's a lot more going on, than just 'boobs = boner.' Not all women are relentless sexual vixen goddesses like they are portrated in pornography, and not all men are O-G alphas like Christian Grey, rather both depictions are of an extreme perfect partner (designed to grab both sexes by the balls) and are a very small minority of people. I think sexuality across the board is "physiological reaction within the body + concepts in the mind = sexuality." In other words, the body will react to external and internal stimuli.
  4. I always thought it was pure empathy. Particularly if all parties are excited about learning new things, or interested in each other, then it's an upwards spiral of goodness
  5. Thanks Rainbow Jamz
  6. If by you mean reacting to the biology happening in her body with pleasure and accepting it? Yes. lol I'm turned on by make believe characters too- so it's no big deals.
  7. So before I saw the movie (I have no interest in reading the book) I didn't quite sympathize, or empathize with the way that some women feel about men and pornography. But sitting there in the theater with my girlfriend I found myself becoming... jealous, I think, of the attention the Christian Grey character was getting from her right next to me. It would flare inside of me any time I looked at her restraining her giddiness at the things he'd say or do on screen, or any time she made a comment about him. Each time it flared, I defensively and neurotically analysed what was happening, running everything I knew about biology and philosophy against what was happening before me and within me. Then it hit me about a third of the way in- I was experiencing what women experience, when they think of men -whom they value and love- watch pornography. I realized that my thoughts of "No men are like this, who could actually be like this?" and thoughts of resentment towards her and the whole phenomenon of this novel and film- and precisely what women feel about the women in pornography. "No women are like this, no women would do this to themselves." You know, the feeling of inferiority, feeling small and powerless in your capacities. When compared to the "too good to be true" sexuality in pornography. The best part was, after I figured this out it made me relax and I could return to the moment. The clarity was wonderful. Thoughts forum? Has anyone else had a similar experience, or empathize with women on this? Am I missing something here or am I off base with what I understand now about with this?
  8. I think you can do both. Assuming you avoid the completely crazies, finding someone open to learning and is capable of rational analysis you're good. That's all that matters at the end of the day really.
  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearm#History So the gun was made in roughly 12th century China to... better stay competitive in the ancient chinese market differential system? Deep. You should write to Stef and put together a "Truth about the Gun" presentation for him, so he can tell us all about how guns give strict advantages in the market differential systems based in ancient chinese economics!
  10. I'll put some solutions I could conjure up to the three non abstract unreasonible customer problems in an outline format: 1. A super smelly+dirty person that buys a 1 euro ice-cream and tries to stay in the restaurant all day. a) Point the vagrant to the "no loitering" sign on the wall, or any signage in the establishment that expresses the right of the establishment to kick people out. b) Watch him for when he breaks a rule- and then ask him to leave when he does. If he resists contact DRO. 2. A person sitting and staring at some attractive cashier all day long. a) Same as 1. Loitering in a business is loitering, regardless if whether or not they are being a creep. 3. A person refusing to leave an hour after closing time. a) Contact DRO. This is gross trespassing and should be dealt with accordingly. It should be noted that resolving disputes without the confines of our statist laws and not knowing the context of rules and laws established in an ancap society - is going to be a little weird. We can assume on some level that the businesses will have far, far more power and agency to resolve these issues than they do with the state owning absolutely everything. There's no way to know for sure how exactly it's going to work. However I've found it best in my conversations to stick to first principles. People are responsible for what they do. If you owned the business where bums, creeps, weirdos and trespassers are interacting with you, your property and more importantly your customers- how would you think to deal with them?
  11. Lol wait so what if it did- what if they took it all the way and panned pants. So men would have to wear some kind of dress thing. Oooooo or kilts!
  12. I totally feel you on this one man. I brought this argument to my family over Christmas (yeah, I know) and all of them- grandparents, parents, aunt, uncle, cousins and one of two brothers openly supported the violence against me. Needless to say I was very rattled.
  13. Managers have the right by proxy to kick people off the premises. They are held accountable as such, but they have the right to.
  14. Seems fair. Are governments really the best way to do this though? I mean you and I both know those who enforce the laws break them. We'll get to the against me argument, but context needs to get there first
  15. On goes the Voluntaryist hat! If the society is civilized, why would it need to be maintained?
  16. I don't think it discredits him. But I do think it does need some explaining. I just would like to hear what he has to say about the whole thing- I've never heard him speak about it, and hearing it from Fox first in my experience was weird. Everyone has different reason for taking stolen money from thieves, I want to hear his O.o Activism!
  17. I love Kokesh. But at the end of this video the Fox commentator reveals that he takes government money from his time in the military- disability money. Has he ever spoken on this? Has he ever justified this openly to anyone? If I was in his place it'd be hard not to take that money but I'd just really like to know what he has to say about it.
  18. Wait so does this include denim boners? Cause, I mean it could.
  19. Omg someone else likes RLM lol yes!
  20. Well governments simply put, are not businesses. They violate the NAP. By definition they are separate from businesses. Get the definitions down and from there it's pretty clear. Also the "government = big business" proposition is a horrific smear to everything ethical. Think of it this way, in government systems your labor is taxed, and the fruits of your labor is taxed, so is entry into the market and pretty much at any point value is exchanging hands- the government has their hands in the people's pockets. "Government = big business" is a great counter to anarchistic arguments until you push the principle alllllllll the way down to the labor. Let me break it down. With the help of our good friend: Mr. Statist. Government owns the land. Okay, that's fair, I mean, we can't exactly openly declare it ours without violence being acted on us. Yeah sure, you got it Mr. Statist man, the government owns the land. Government owns therefore the property within it's borders. Yeah sure, if you pull resources from government land, it's theirs sure. And I can't fucking smoke pot openly in the state I'm in, and I can't run my own business without the law flying in six ways from sunday to shut me down. Etc etc. You got it, Mr. Statist- the government owns the shit within it's borders we get it. The individual is nearly powerless to claim certain properties within the borders of the government- unless he cowers and hides like a scavenging rat. I get it. But. Mr. Statist, what about my labor? The value I produce with my own body. Well yes, you have to do your part- your labor is taxed too. So I can't work without the profit of my work being taxed? Yes. So the government owns my body? Oh look, Mr. Statist killed left the room. yaaaay
